Revs' Heaps won't let defense rest By Gus Martins, Boston Herald, Friday, March 19, 2004 http://sports.bostonherald.com/soccer/view.bg?articleid=111 On mend, Twellman guts it out By Gus Martins, Boston Herald, Friday, March 19, 2004 http://sports.bostonherald.com/soccer/view.bg?articleid=110
RevMFLS (Serie A) is full, hopefully someone will create a RevMFLS (Serie B) and let me know about it. Serie B would be fully participating in the RevMFLS Loyalty Cup, and would also likely play in to the Revolution Supporters' Cup. If there are enough teams in the division, they would likely be eligible to compete in the MFLS Champions League and Cup Winners Cup as well. http://www.mfls.com/ http://martnet.com/~jgoodwin/revmfls/
Wait a minute...if we get more, we could do 3 divisions, of, say, 24 teams each with promotion and relegation every year! This could be BIG!
It was hardly a tour de force: Revolution wrap up trip accentuating the positives By Frank Dell'Apa, The Boston Globe, 3/19/04 http://www.boston.com/dailyglobe2/079/sports/It_was_hardly_a_tour_de_force+.shtml
A. Only news threads. B. As far as I'm concerned, my posts on the subject are finished, since the division is full. C. Thanks for taking the time to get steamed at me personally, and to express your throughts in the Rev forum. D. No, really, Thanks.
"Santa Clara has good players and they play in one of the best leagues in the world," Llamosa said. "The indication of how good their league is that Porto is doing very well in the Champions League. Is this right? Does he mean to include first and second divisions by the word "league"? It does give the impression that Porto and SC play in the same division. I think even Llamosa has this a little backwards. Clearly I am not super concerned with the result, but this does seem to be a passive attempt to justify the loss
Someone forgot to tell Llamosa that Santa Clara got relegated last year. Still, as I said in another thread, this is like the 4th or 5th game they have played, missing several regualrs, and SC has played about 25 games so far, so you can't really get too worked up over this. No one will even remember this game by May. Tom
