Whats the lieklyhood of Revs signing one of those trialists then have now, especially Petrov or Bangara?
The team canceled the practice that had been scheduled for this morning (Saturday), so it's unlikely there will be any articles tomorrow, either. But once again, I honestly think the Revs' decision to forsake the home game will be seen throughout the local media as a reason/excuse not to pay much attention, if any, to the Champions Cup. And that's completely the Revs' problem -- and their fault.
I tried to explain our involvement in the Champions Cup to a couple of non-soccer types. The response was almost like, "you mean they play sports in other countries?" I was waiting for, "Why, everyone knows that if you win anything in the USA, then you are automatically WORLD Champions." The concept was so completely foreign, (pardon the pun), that they were under the impression that it was almost exibition-like. (of course we know that's what the Kraft's think of it). I would imagine our local editors would look at it that way too.
FDA & Gus went to Brazil. I thought both were to have gone to Portugal. Are either going to Costa Rica?
