am i alone here in thinking that tt should not get the league maximum right now?

i have no problem with a $150,000 incentive ladden contract with a ramping up to the league max by the end of his current contract's length. however, i don't really see this helping the revs get better as a team if the league has upped the salary cap by only 30k and taylor (or maybe its his agent) wants to take up 225k more than he did last year. factoring in the raises that others on the team deserve......i don't like this news.

I really like Twellman, but I don't think he should be asking for the league maximum. He's a few contracts ahead of himself. Let him prove he's not a one-hit wonder (which I don't think he is) before giving him the max available.

However, I do see Twellman's agent asking for the max just as a starting point, and coming down from there. Just as the league offered a low amount and will surely come up.

Gee, another column by FDA quoting, without question or alternative viewpoint, a player agent.

Am I the only one who has a problem with this?

    No.

FDA's creating an issue when there really isn't one.

Will Twellman get a better contract? Yes.

Will Twellman be staying with N.E.? Yes.

But drama, not the above, sells newspapers. FDA loves drama: just think back to the soap opera that was the Ze Rodrigues issue...

    Twellman ISN'T GOING ANYWEHRE.

    Today's FDA piece

I don't have much of a problem with this story. It seems pretty well-reasoned and straight-forward to me. Of course TT is asking for the league max--I would, too, if I were Taylor. Will he get it? Of course not--that's what mediation and compromise are all about. He'll settle for less than he wants, probably at something more than the league likely wants to pay.

What worries me is our GK situation, with a back-up slot to be filled and Adin injured--again.
