JMM is back Today's Boston Globe reports that Joe Max has officially signed on with the Revs and will be in training camp whan practice starts.
It's on their website at: http://www.boston.com/dailyglobe2/028/sports/Offense_should_be_maximal+.shtml
Thanks FDA OK guys, let's give FDA his due. He has an article with new information in it and doesn't mention Brazil once! (He MUST read these boards!) Carlos, the dollar may go further, but so do the bad guys. Good luck and be safe. Sorry to see you go, but you seemed determined. JMM, welcome back!! No mention that we had to give up anything to get JMM...hmmm I wonder if Carlos going was enough. Though I would have rather last Diego, I am now very intrigued if we are able to keep Diego while still getting an SI to help on defense.

Just a second... ...as far as announcing Joe-Max's signing, it is ridiculous that it hasn't been announced yet. If it was supposed to stay secret for this long, then they did a really bad job keeping it quiet. Does anybody have a clue why it has taken this long? Is it a league thing, or a Revs thing? Inquiring minds...
Two more things... ...it is good to see in the press that season ticket sales are up. I have heard that renewals and new business was going well, but you'd think that would be somethign they would publicize. I'd also like to take issue with Frank for a moment on Llamosa. I loved having him on the Revs, but I think that the back four of Heaps/Pierce/Kante/ Franchino was just as effective as when Llamosa was in and Rusty wasn't. Llamosa was out of the lineup alot, and when he was in he was good, but not great...I can remember a few soft goals that came from Llamosa mistakes. I think that the only thing losing Llamosa hurts is defensive depth, but I think the back four this year, if it stays healthy, will be stronger and faster, even if they're a little less experienced.
The reason it has not been announced yet is that as of yesterday, it had not occurred. Joe-Max is here in Boston and did pass his physical yesterday but as of yesterday the deal wasn't inked - hence no announcement. Don't get all p.o.'ed about the announcement yesterday concerning Taylor's contract being "old news". It wasn't. He just signed as well.
JMM Official You've been waiting ... and here's the reward. From MLSNet http://mlsnet.com/content/03/ne0128jmm.html From the Revs http://www.revolutionsoccer.net/news/press_releases/fullStory_240.asp
Re: JMM Official Intersting that neither press release made any attempt to explain the acquisition in terms of allocations and the like.
Just by way of comparison....the Everton webmasters go to the trouble of pasting together an article about a player who is LEAVING the team with quotes, info and other up to date stuff. Wouldn't it be interesting if the Revs did that? i.e. more stories, more stuff, more buzz, more interest. Please...... JIM DOW
