    Looks like the real deal...

I 'spose it can still be a rumor but that looks pretty official. Unless we give away more than Serna to do it...I am happy to hear the news.

When Joe left I doubted I would see him in Rev jersey again.

    Fingers still crossed,

That explains why TnT didn't start. Slight concussion earlier in the week.

FWIW, based on what I've heard, y'all might be a little surpsrised at what the Revs have to give up to bring JMM back.

can you post what you've heard? if this is another one of those mls/luis hernandez schemes i'm gonna be ticked.

with the acquisition of reis and the drafting of a keeper....please don't tell me we have to send brown off to dallas or something for an allocation spot b/c they're not signing jordon....and we're being "forced" to take jmm back.

One of the terrific P-40 prospects we picked up on Friday? Oops, that can't be it. How about our top-notched marketing department? No takers?

In one of my post-draft tirades I commented that, based on the draft, I almost hoped we didn't get Moore because I was afraid of what we might give up to get him. I have a feeling that may be the case. Any hints (understood to be unsubstantiated) would be appreciated, though.

``Steve [Ralston]'s a real good player,'' said U.S. coach Bruce Arena afterward. ``I've been very impressed with Steve for quite a while. He's a quality player that we need to give a stronger look to than we have in the past.''

How long have we been saying this?

Phew!!!! I'd love to see Joey come back...a great reason to attend the home opener...but not if it meant taking any steps backwards in the further development of the team.

Good news, and it does sound official, but I do sort of wish it hadn't come from Jaime "DC is sure to trade their 1st round pick" Trecker.

It's hard to imagine what we must be spending to bring him in, considering there's not really anyone to barter with. Did we acquire an allocation? Or did we have to pay off a low seeded team?

    Good Surprise

Gosh Mike your more of a tease than may first girl friend :) How about a few more hints.

I wonder who crafted this deal? If it's Sunil you can bet than some other team is going to wake up and fing their shoe laces tied together

    BUT THEN THERE'S MLS LOGIC
    .
~MLS wants the Revs to keep winning.
~JMM wants back to the Revs.
    ~The Revs want JMM back.
    --------------ergo--------------
~The league will move something we don't need to someone (who will wake up hung over wondering what hit them) who will send us the allocation for something they don't need.

One poster on Chris Bergin's site has heard the Revs acquiring the Mutts' allocation for Reis and a high 2004 draft pick. That certainly isn't too painful a price, and explains why we brought in Singer. Plus, we'd be able to keep Serna.

    WOW!

OK...so we would have an offense including TnT, Serna, JMM, Nowak and Ralston! Yowzer.

Still worried about that left side though and if this rumor is true an experienced back-up keeper. BUT when you begin to worry about backups that isn't too bad a thing.

actually i heard rumors of Llamosa. With Joseph signed and the controversy (if u can call it that) of who will start in the middle (kante, llamosa, pierce, joseph) this move could be extremely useful.

Well, when you consider that there have been rumors of a desired move by Llamosa and the fact that he has family in the New York-area...

But could Metro accomodate him under the cap?
