Da took the field for the first team before he has for R2. Didn't stop him from playing the full 90 for R2 a day later.

R2 debut in Beirne Stadium is a PK shoot-out win.

I don’t like these shootout finishes if they’re going to mask unimpressive performances.

A scoreless game goes down as a win? Now two ties go in the books as wins?

The only shootout that should be used in any level of MLS

Wow! I forgot how hideous those kits looked in the early years!

I still say they should use those kinds of shootouts in tournaments, instead of PKs. While it's pretty much expected that 8-9 out of 10 guys will score PKs, the odds here are much more balanced.

They've been doing that since MLS-NP began in 2022.

And it shows up in the standings as a tie, not a win:

They just get an extra point for the shoot-out win.

Helps the kids learn how to deal with the pressure of a PK, or so they say.

And both fans can go home happy. ;)

It helps that if/when the time comes that a huge knockout game is on the line, that several players have experience with both the technique and pressure of a PK. But they should outlaw the stutter-step.

They currently sit 2nd in the Eastern Conf behind Crown Legacy FC (4-0-0).

One game left in their 5-game homestand to start the season.
