Here we go again! Two wins required to get to the big dance. Brown Heaps,Rusty,Kante, Franchino Ralston, Cullen, Hernandez, Kamler Woldi, TNT If Rusty can't go Kamler moves back and Cloutier is in at left wing. Similar game plan to how we played the Fire. Biggest concern for us is Crews speed Biggest boone for us is the Crew relatively weak defense. Caution points are an issue for Franchino and I think Hernandez as well. If we are ahead late in the match do they take a card so they can get a clean slate for game three or do they just try to avoid getting a card (period)? Will caution card accumulation from the playoffs carry over to the Cup match or is the slate cleaned (except for Red Cards) for the Cup match?
i just want to say i like the revs' chances of winning tomorrow. home field advantage is a big plus and i am pretty sure the revs are going to utilize that and everything else to win and advance to the cup. hence, go to the game, support, and get loud! 2-0 Revs. GO REVS!
This is a crucial match. I predict the winner of this match wins the series!!! Brown Heaps Kante Cullen Franchino Ralston Rusty Kamler Hernandez Twellman Harris This is a long shot, but I like Rusty in mid. Revs 1-0 on a Twellman goal in the first half! SUPAH REVOLUTION!!
If it's not broken i doubt that SN will try to fix it. Ergo, he will not start moving players around unless he needs too. Rusty at center back with Cullen and Hernandez in midfield is well eastablished and I doubt will be changed. This will be especially critical with the offensive speed and firepower of the Crew.
Why not try Griffiths at the top with Twellman today? They tried at the end of our last game and he looked pretty good up top with Twellman.
Good luck. Should be an excellent game. The big question is whether you have anyone to match against Buddle on the wing? Garcia/Ralston will be fun to follow, but can Kamler handle Buddle on the other flank?
oops...my bad...just saw a board about attendance. Still, if you guys want to throw an opinion, its welcome. I think both team's have good offenses, but the game will be decided on defense. IMHO.
One slight problem with Griffiths-in half a year has is yet to complete a pass. He must be the worst passer I have ever seen in a professional soccer player. I would drop him from the team as fast as humanly possible. Speed is totally useless if you can neither score, nor pass.
Well, some people will see what they want to see, or else exaggerate to make their point. Clearly, Griffiths has completed plenty of passes - about the same percentage, for example, that Franchino does in the offensive half of the field. Write down your "dump Griffiths" suggestion so that you can revisit it next year when he's fully incorporated into the squad. People were saying the same thing about Wolde not too long ago...
