Answering the inevitable question, I have no idea if Brandi will be there. --------------------------------- from a Soccer Silicon Valley e-mail: On Saturday, September 23 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., the Bay Area Women's Sports Initiative is sponsoring "Forever Champions: A Tribute to Excellence," a reunion celebration of the former San Jose CyberRays, 2001 champions of the Women's United Soccer Association. Marlene Bjornsrud, CEO of BAWSI and former CyberRays GM, tells us that the event "will be conducted in true San Jose soccer fashion: more as a tailgate party than a fundraising dinner." Gordon Biersch Brewery in San Jose will host the event and is donating all the beer and great Octoberfest-style food, while the former CyberRays players will spend the evening mingling with the crowd just like old times. There will also be a fun "what are they doing now" program towards the end of the evening. Adult tickets are only $40 per person and will benefit BAWSI's work with young girls.
