Legend. Not a great leader, but that's not his fault the stupid rule of captaincy in this club. wish him all the best.
🚨 Dani Carvajal to Fede Valverde: “THE CAPTAIN’S ARMBAND IS IN GOOD HANDS.” pic.twitter.com/x9pojqOKmz— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) May 18, 2026 Nah. It’s not Dani.
Respectfully, I don't think any of us can speak in that conversation. We can argue that it shouldn't be happening publically, but we're not in the room to be able to have an opinion either way.
We ain’t in any room that’s worth anything to this club yet we discuss everything here, why not this? my 2 cents. Im delighted with everything happening honestly, following RM had become stale. You either win and you rub it in or you loose and you take it up the ass. I miss the drama. This actually reminds me quite a bit of Mous last stint. Hope the next 10 years go as well as the 10 that followed him arriving at the club the first time. I have a feeling he will be the big boss that again doesn’t win anything but sets up the next big one for huge success.
My thoughts exactly. He probably won't win much with this crop of players. What chance does he have when in his last stint he had the likes CR7, Oezil, Di Maria, Benzema, Alonso, Modric, Ramos and Pepe and won barely 3 trophies in 3 yrs. One could argue he was here during Barca's golden era. But he has a different handicap this time. These players aren't the type of players he had before. They are objectively worse. Not to mention the RFEF has their cronies actively sabotaging Real Madrid results.
Absolute legend, embodies the clubs spirit, went through the full pipeline and won everything there is to win. Arguably one of the best 2 way fullbacks I have ever seen play, even scored headers lol. Don't have anything positive to say about him as a captain, I think his role can't really be judged from the outside and its hard to separate truth from rumours. He will be judged on the fractions within the team just like Raul was though, it doesnt seem like he was a big vocal leader that kept everyone in line.
He's one of those guys that led by example rather than social interactions. The social acumen is arguably more important than anything else.
Top 3 defenders in Real Madrid history imo along with Ramos and Hierro. Best and most consistent right back i have seen . Carvajal leaving its really the end of the greatest era in clubs history .
Without question, the most successful Spanish player to put on a Real Madrid shirt. Only Luka Modric (the record holder) has 1 more title than him, which is 28. I know some people are bitter and want to disrespect him. But have some class. This guy brought more titles than many teams will ever win in their entire history. He alone has more UCL titles than Barcelona. At his prime, he was the undisputed best two way rightback in the world. Even two years ago, this guy won everything there was to win and was a Ballon D'Or candidate. He played in the European tournament which Spain won. He scored the header that secured the latest Champions league trophy for Real Madrid. He is an absolute legend. He is the last vestige of the greatest Real Madrid era we have seen in our lifetimes. My only wish is that it could have ended on a better note. But few are afforded the option to go out on top at Real Madrid like Toni Kroos.
You make an assumption with a finality as if Fede can't learn from the situation to help him be the best captain.
So many morons on here these days. I sometimes wish we become mediocre for few years so all this garbage find another club to follow. All his life dedicated for this club, always reliable, won so many things with club and country and still some pisce of shits cant find few nice words for him Shame on you.
The winningest RB of all time. Too bad he couldn't win another one before moving on. He was such a rock in his prime.
I would rather have 11 Carvajals than anything else. He personifies the true spirit of the club more than anybody else.
Ah yes, the weekly lecture on what a ‘true Madrid fan’ looks like. Thank you for reminding us that disagreement = disloyalty. Truly the peak of football discourse. Why not go after those who criticize Raúl, Iker Casillas, or Xabi Alonso? Or does your version of 'Madridista’ only apply selectively depending on who’s being discussed?
Dani falling victim to the classic "You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain." Same with Iker - an ugly exit shouldn't erase decades of loyalty and trophies.
To be fair to @Minduchio who I appreciate a lot, going after every single stupid person is a full time job. I think there is a big divide between the local and global fanbase. Now more so than ever possibly.
He is the embodiment of "we play too many games" to then say "I refuse to not play, I will not let my team down" two sentences later. He's been a trooper for his entire career.
Legend Carva. Younger fans won't realize how big of a deal the new training complex at Valdebebas was back in the day and we all saw pictures of Di Stefano at the groundbreaking and this skinny little kid with the backstreet boys haircut put a shirt in the foundation stone and we were like who is this kid. That's when most of us heard the name Dani Carvajal for the first time. Today he leaves the club he poured his sweat, blood and tears into and elevated to stratospheric levels with his sacrifice walking tall albeit with a broken body which he happily gave to the club of his life. Thank you for everything Dani. No bad feelings or words from me and countless other madridistas worldwide. Enjoy your retirement. You will be missed.
He's the last one of the golden generation. A chapter officially closes with him gone. My whole life I remember Real Madrid playing with a subpar rb but Dani changed that. Gave it his all every game, never cheated us on effort. What more can you ask for as a fun? I wish he left on a better situation cause he deserved it but it doesn't take anything away from him and his incredible career.
Will never forget the CL winning header. Dude was probably the smallest one on the field. I remember thinking to myself "NO WAY CARVAJAL GOT THAT!"
