Yea, even downright game changing players in his position didn't get the same recognition as players that have had considerably less success in more influential positions.

It's like being the IT department of a football team, lol

Judging from the poor man's screams on the pitch, this is most likely a career-ending injury. I hope I'm wrong.

Didn’t watch the match today and hearing that Dani was injured like this. Sad way to end a career at Real Madrid judging the extent of the injury. Always a warrior and leader, it really stings.

Man I am so sad. I am hoping for a miracle, because that looked absolutely fking brutal. I watch MMA regularly and I've never seen hyperextension like that before

Looked brutal. I honestly thought the image was photo shopped at first when I saw on social media, something you would see for clickbait.

Both Dani and Rodri talked about potentially striking because of the amount of games, and shortly thereafter they both popped their ACL’s

No CB backup? Play Carvajal at CB.
no RB backup? Play Vasquez in 2024!
Why should a club like Madrid not have one more than decent back up reserved for each position?
He put his heart and soul in Euro too. This is going to hurt us so bad.

Scariest part was most RM fans saw that as a perfectly legitimate solution and were against the idea that we needed to reinforce defense as a priority.

LV was renewed to play back up RB. He did that part well last season while some were moaning about club not signing Cancelo who ended up costing Barca points. Are we supposed to have 3 RBs or sth anticipating ACL? It was an unlucky contact injury. See who will be back up for TAA and Hakimi at their clubs and find out there's a big drop off when you lose world class RBs.

    Correct.

But let’s see how the club reacts to this. Another boneheaded move like not signing a RB after they passed on a CB in the winter or summer market might give me the impression that the club has no idea in dealing with these emergency transfers.

The backline is so thin right now.

Dani followed it with "I would die on the field for Real Madrid".

These guys aren't striking. The athletic had a representative of FIFPro in an interview and he said one of the main issues abotut making progress in player rights are the players themselves. Don't want to leave any money on the table and will always play, even if they're hurt.

Our summer transfer was successful for many because we signed Mbappe, but everyone forgot that the team needs defensive reinforcements.

Nacho's departure hurts even more now.

They literally needed one more signing for depth purposes. If they had grabed Yoro, it would have been a fine. When that fell through, they took their ball and went home.

Would be stunning if we manage to get to the CL final and have Dani come on.

I'm not so optimistic regarding Carva's return, as terrible as it may sound. I think he might come back and be semi-functional, but a complete shadow of his former self prior to the injury. He has way too many miles on the clock and is 32, his ACL recovery is more likely to be akin to Alaba's than Militao's. I hope I'm wrong, but I think this is a disasterous injury for Carva, very very sad news, get well soon soldier.

He’s almost 33, don’t think we’re getting this version of Carvajal back.
