Bruno is done. Signed, sealed, delivered, as far as I'm concerned. I've moved on to the main event. Vini Jr. Multiple, credible sources have stated the meeting with Real Madrid will take place on Wednesday. Whether we get a decision on Wednesday or not is a mystery, but that is the timeline for sure. I just hope we know in time for Martinelli's sake. He's a class individual who should be given all the time and grace he deserves to make a move away from us.
I think it's more the latter. They're probably pissed off that City and Chelski got to engage in all the financial legerdemain and then the Prem pulled the ladder up after Roman and the Sheik right as the PIF bought Newcastle.
If you say so. They've spent a lot and have uneven seasons and struggle selling players. The talent was there and I really think he underperformed.
I was LIVID after Bruno’s elbow but after last season’s smash n grab win at their ground, I chilled out..

PIF is doing a massive 'rebalancing' of its international investments reducing them from 30% to 20% as well as seeking huge savings domestically Hence a giant rollback in it's sports / entertainment portfolio
Two things, first the internet is acting like it wasn't pretty much a foregone conclusion we'd get Bruno G. Not official but it seems more than 90 percent there. The only surprise would be if he doesn't sign. Anyway, pundits are doing the 'its over now'. What? We've been linked to him for weeks now. Second, I have a feeling if / when he arrives he and Rice are going to form a very good duo. Both read the game very well. My guess is if either may be assigned the 6 or the 8 before the game but I wouldn't be surprised if they rotate positions in a game depending on the circumstances.
yeah those wenger days were so hard to watch because we got fcuked over every week that whole kicking g arsenal thing as well with 3 players getting compound fractures while the league just accepted it Ramsey, diaby, Eduardo all had their careers fcuked by some shit clogger
Meeting between Vini & Real happened this morning. Supposedly he and his agent were there for about 2 hrs. Seeing LOTS of skepticism out of Spain about a new deal getting done.
Most reports that I've seen indicate doubt that a deal was struck which is a positive for Arsenal. However, I keep seeing a price of 128m for Vini. There's no way that Arsenal would spend that on a player that could be free in 6 months, right?
Think the price being thrown around is wishful thinking from Madrid. They have zero leverage because they are desperate to avoid losing him for nothing. The irony when they are continually trying to talk players into running out their contracts to sign for Real. Think if I was Berta I would offer 50m.
It all points to a deal being done later rather than sooner as RM will hold out for as much of a fee as possible.
🚨 Aston Villa are braced for a fresh bid from Arsenal for Ezri Konsa (28). Arsenal’s initial proposal was well below Villa’s £60m valuation, who are NOT under financial pressure to sell. Konsa is a key target for Arsenal & they are unlikely to give up hope. ⏳🏴 [@TomCollomosse] pic.twitter.com/vO8HGTDbUU— afcstuff (@afcstuff) August 5, 2026
Yeah, and I have been wondering how much that might be related to what Trump has been doing in the past year and how much it's f-ed up KSA's world, both physically and financially.
Yup. Which is no beuno. Especially if it falls through and our Plan B (assuming we have one!) isn't viable at that late stage. This deal is more than a bit nerve-wracking!
Nothing to do with Trump They been cutting back since 2024. They overspent due to not having a real strategy for influence and impatient leadership. Opposite of Qatar who were lot more strategic and smarter in their influence campaign and investments.
That would still be silly to spend on a player who will be free in 12 months and we could sign to a pre-contract in 6.
Spending that much closes the door on the market for him though. If he's available on a free next summer, the entire transfer landscape is different - who says he'll still want to come here?
Really hoping that this doesn't pan out. Really don't rate Konsa and don't wanna blow a bunch on a 28yo CB for a short term fix.
Mike Riley gave them a penalty for 7 games in a row before they stole our unbeaten streak with Rooney’s dive at OT, IIRC
You may be right, but ngl i feel like Real the type of club to say "******** it, we're keeping him and if we lose him for free we do, but let's cross that bridge when we get to it"
