I would like Martinelli sold and upgraded
Nordgaard sold and upgraded for youth
    Gabi Jesus sold
Madueke sold for a decent bag
And Gabriel sold but for heaps of cash

Yeah, the Zubi criticism is over-the-top. He has had a rough patch (very few Arsenal players haven't this season), but his 'low' really haven't been that bad. He still was one of the best players throughout the season. It's not an issue of quality, and MLS isn't replacing him any time soon.

Glad that MLS is getting some shine though. I'm really happy for him.

Troussard, Havertz, Madueke, Norgaard, White, Kepa: that should be our transfer list. Add Odegaard to it if a great deal comes in.

You don't spend years assembling a good team just to break it apart when you're getting somewhere. Cut the fat, and add to it. We have a great base. We just need to add a couple of pieces.

Said the same thing on Twitter. We need to keep the core, and add quality for competition and depth

Agreed. On Kai, earlier this year Leverkeusen said they'd do everything they could to bring Kai back if he wanted to. Not sure they could do it financially, though.

A week or so ago Bayern was linked. Supposedly wanted him to replace Jackson. They are one of the few that could probably pull it off but (a) I don't see Kai wanting to move to be Kane's backup and (b) I'd bet Bayern try to lowball or do a loan or something. If Leverkusen could handle his salary I would be very tempted to work a swap deal involving Kofane and/or Maza.

I'd swap Kai for Jackson. Jackson is underrated

The squad was still probably 2 players short this season. With no rest this summer due to the World Cup, the squad needs to be even bigger next year. Anyone Arsenal sell, they need a replacement for. They certainly need to upgrade at LW. They are going to need to add another RB and LB.

Jackson is good, but Havertz is better.

Yeah, I'd take him on a discount. But he's not better than Havertz, and I wouldn't want a straight swap.

Did Gabi flirt with the Saudis or did the Saudis flirt with him?

Whatever it was, it was troubling enough to Mikel that he started the year on the bench

I knew they would pull back after splashing just like China. But what was their plan or is their phase 2 plan? To keep the stars who are already there on high wages until they leave but attract others on affordable wages? I don't get how these things are sustainable. We should have sold to a Saudi team some time ago when the time was right!

They ploughed so much into boxing as well

I like Kai as an option because he’s the opposite profile to vg

false 9 but can hold the ball up, better passer etc

The Saudis are also ending their LIV Golf Tour funding. They apparently concluded that sports washing did little to improve their image.

Can't see how Arteta keeps a 31 year old Trossard over a soon to be 25 Martinelli. Trossasrd is the more skillful player, won't deny that. Martinelli is much better in pressing with his speed and tenacity as well as more pace and power in a counter. If one has to go its Trossard I'd imagine.

We need Kepa. Unless we can get a top replacement. Kepa did very well when he played. Also, we need a certain type of keeper which is hard to find. Raya's type isn't easy to find.

Noni is 24, but on "only" 150k a week. Fairly decent bargain unless we can unearth a hidden gem with as much skill for less.

Jesus is gone as far as we can tell. As far as Odegaard, its hugely risky to sell the club captain. Not that we can't do better but it will unsettle the changing room. Saka shouldn't have been made vice captain but at the time I get it. It should be Rice and Gabriel.

Would Arteta sell Nwaneri? Norgaard is out probably, agree with that. But he'll pick up an EPL medal and hopefully a CL medal.

    It’s possible

But Inter and Juve still pay and Serie A has become a retirement league

Turkey also pays well and low taxes

Bayern, PSG and Madrid wants a CB this summer

The Saudi Royal Family aren't that liquid. They are pulling back on a lot of investments. Can see them backing out of the World Cup in 2034 as well.

We will see the ripple effects of that in a lot of industries but sports is the first one.

Plus, I always read that decision as little payback to DJT who kinda fvcked them and their region (and the whole world TBF) with his little vanity war.

Getting 50,000 people to the top of a 100+ story building to watch a game (and to be able to leave after) is just insane and a sign that no one was willing to tell MBS "no, that's f-ing stupid"
