Yep, definitely sounds like an Arteta player. Unless he proves himself on the left, he will likely have a hard time getting on the pitch anytime soon. Who is Jeremy Monga? England’s fastest rising talent being 'tracked' by Arsenal - Yahoo Sports
Re Rogers: I don’t think he’s the future target striker some believe he can become. In spite of his size, he is not very good in the air. In league play last season he only won about 30% of his aerial duels. At 24 I think this is baked into his game.
Seeing some shady rumors that we are talking to Sociedad about LW Ander Barrenetxea. Has a €75m release and we are supposedly offering €30m.
interesting Saw one game with him against Barca he came on a sub Nothing marvelous in his very brief cameo i know nothing about him really
He is only valued at €18m on TM. Even if Martinelli and Trossard both left, he wouldn't be high on my list as a backup LW. Maybe Berta just really likes going on scouting trips to San Sebastian.
This rumor is likely contingent to whether we officially get Jeremy Monga from Leicester City. I can't see us buying two, young LW prospects in the same window. With fees for Monga reportedly around 15-20M, I can't see us plunking much more than that for another prospect with arguably less potential.
The transfer window narrative feels bonkers to me this year. Arsenal are on the short list of any elite player in the world right now. Borderline transfers are just hoping for an Arteta meet cute.
Terry Flewers of 'The Football Terrace" Is guessing Arteta's strategy is going to be buy a lot of quality midfielders to do more squad rotation. I can see that as a possible strategy. Hence Rogers, Monga, perhaps more and only bring in 1 striker. My vote against Alvarez is he wants Bara. Even if we win the PL / CL double next season I suspect we will always be susceptible to the same thing van Persie, Sanchez, etc. Players looking for a bigger move. I can't think of anyone we have presently who I think is like that. Maybe there is but not off the top of my head. If thats the plan Id save money with Kofane for a Gyokeres, Kai, Kofane choice with of course Merino as 4th choice.
PSG left-footed defender Emmanuel Mbemba Out of contract in the summer but would require a tribunal fee. 18yo and would need a 6 mo loan to get enough experience to gain a UK work permit. https://arseblog.news/2026/06/report-arsenal-eye-move-for-psg-starlet-mbemba/ Arsenal have made contact with the camp of Emmanuel Mbemba with a view to sign him this window. The u19 PSG captain is open to a move away with Nuno Mendes blocking his pathway in France. Arsenal have laid out a pathway which involves him potentially being loaned out mirroring… pic.twitter.com/IaWKl0nbLs— HandofArsenal (@HandofArsenal) June 6, 2026
Orny says .... "Arsenal will doneye catching business this summer"..... "Low volume but high quality"
Which makes sense: we’ve got a big squad and it only really makes sense to go for players who actually improve the first XI.
Monga and Mbemba (who, apparently, would initially have to go out on loan to qualify for a work permit) have been strongly linked, but neither will improve the first XI. However, they would arrive at minimal cost and both could go a long way to future proofing the squad. One of your favorites, Bouaddi (also tentatively linked) wouldn’t improve the first XI either, but would provide a valuable rotation piece and at 18 could also future proof the squad. I suspect the eye catching business will be Barcola or Rogers (I prefer Barcola) and maybe Kroupi, though at this point I’m not sure Kroupi would be a regular starter either.
Think Kroupi would be an expensive "future proofing" with the ability to provide rotational depth now. He would effectively be MLS for the FW rotation. He absolutely be part of the "eye catching business" if we can pull it off.
Juve says no to Yildiz 🚨 In their search for a new left winger, Arsenal made an enquiry about Kenan Yildiz (21). They were informed by Juventus in no uncertain terms that Yildiz was NOT for sale & are consequently pursuing other options. ❌🇹🇷 [@gunnerblog] pic.twitter.com/GQYPt1pI33— afcstuff (@afcstuff) June 9, 2026
Barcola for a potential LW starter Kroupi for F9/SS/LW rotation Let someone else spend 100m for Rogers
Barcola is a taller Martinelli, and doesn’t use his height to any advantage. I would rather not spend 70 million plus on him.
What's your alternative? Already told no on Yildiz Rogers isn't a LW Godts has potential but is a gamble Diomande is also a gamble but will likely cost 100m What are the other feasible options?
If you saying Barcola, keep Martinelli and reduce the wages. Other than that, go for a big dick signing and unsettle a top player like Vini or Kvara. The money is there.
