Norway destroyed Moldvoa 11-1. Think we can get a friendly with them? They are in fine form and I am sure they can use a challenge with how easy their opponents have been.
They are scoring too easily; if anything we need to face high scoring teams (even if their opponents are easy) because our defense needs to be sharpened for the world cup next year. I want us to face opponents who aren't afraid of attacking and will remind our defense not to get comfortable when the World Cup comes around.
We know those teams all to well in WCQ. I used to think the same way as far as facing harder opposition and there is a + for that. But for next level play you need to also face complete bunker type teams. How many times did we lose points to bunker team defenses during this WCQ?
Yeah and especially being scored on? I genuinely feel that our defense is going to cost us games that are decided by a single goal.
We simply suck va bunker teams. If we don’t score on a set piece, we look out of sorts. We took 7 points vs Brazil and Argentina and still managed to struggle to qualify. Crazy
should have won 12 points vs those teams we threw away wins especially vs Argentina away. Brazil the goalie scored an own goal and wasn't counted + other questionable ref decisions. So funny Brazil finished 6th with the "best coach.... they been chasing for 4+ years"
Cordoba pooping in his pants on way too many opportunities is the main reason we did not score against bunkering teams. Hopefully he has snapped out of it. At least between now and July.
7 of those were scored by Italians. I agree. We should have beaten Bolivia, Peru and even Ecuador, but our forwards missed several sitters. I can live with a few clear misses, nobody is perfect, but some of them were ridiculous.
I want to play better teams that we "should lose to" or have nicer jerseys so our players don't shit their pants when they see a German, French or English jersey in the knockout rounds. Feel when it matters regardless on our form we just can't get over the omg we are playing ITALY !!! Instead of we are better than this team lets score 5 Would love love a friendly vs Russia in a non fifa day. Probably the best team we can play in one of those days. US, Mexico (again I know we play them in October but playing them again without euro based players)
not when it matters.... we beat France in France before the 2018 WC they went on to win. We lost to England on some BS that wasn't 1/5th as good

happy for them they did their job at home. When Ecuador did the same thing no one gave them shit. We're a fking terrible team away and unstoppable at home with shit players for a long time. I was shocked that Bolivians were bigger than us.
Argentina bear Venezuela 1-0 despite being very dominant in goal attempts and no Messi wasn't playing. Ecuador and the USA drew 1-1 with the USA being slightly better. Brazil destroyed S. Korea 5-0 in Korea. They certainly are gonna make full use od these friendlies from what it seems.
Ecuador needs a 9 bad they can’t score. Defensively they are a top team probably the US best game under their new coach who has been terrible
In general you are correct but they have played well outside of Quito recently. They beat Argentina in Guayaquil which is not at altitude.
They were experimenting with some new defenders and Keeper. Let's just say the experiment did not go as well as they thought it would.
