Bolivia leading Venezuela 2-0 at HT.

Good result for us, I think the idea is to see teams like ecuador/venezuela/chile drop as many points as possible since they are more direct rivals than Bolivia or Peru, who I see with very little possibilites to qualify.

Penalty was a bit of a joke though. Don't think they would've awarded that in EPL. Roldan as usual with his doubtful decisions. I know it would never happen but would be fun to see Roldan as a ref in EPL. The players would be like wtf?! on every decision. :D

this is getting ridicolous. The ref is falling for every dramaqueen. Cards for nothing.

It's the same mexican one that sent off muñoz vs uruguay. (that one was obviously correct though)

    No. Mexican.

    HT: 0-0

Chile had the only chance of the game header that hit the post.

Argentina looks totally impotent so far. Even 50% Messi or 50% di maria creates more danger than all these players in their primes.

Wow, Argentina look amazing. Their defensive block, their midfield, their possession and pretty much every player on that field today looked incredibly sharp. Think Macallister may have picked up an injury (which goes back to the Liv vs Man U match). But Colombia will have their hands full. Dybala came on last 10 minutes with something to prove and he also didn't miss a beat.

If we beat Peru the game vs Argentina will be almost like a friendly. Sure there will be a lot of pride at stake but regardless of the result both argentina and colombia will qualify pretty comfortable.
Should we somehow manage to lose against Peru then nerves might set in and it could get more complicated.

Scaloni managed to control the game well, but Chile looked well in it until the 2nd goal despite its lack of stars. They look better than in Copa and I'm glad there were a little fewer old timers. 3-0 looks more comfortable than it was I thought.

Great result for Colombia to let the midtable teams loose points se we can qualify faster.

I hope Macca is ok, don't want him missed in liverpool.

Something tells me that pride will still be a factor; our players are genuinely taking the lost in the final very personally; remember when Argentina faced Germany again months after the final of 2014? Despite that being a friendly they did not hesitate to push themselves and make a statement.

I doubt that especially at a home game our players would treat it lightly either for a world cup qualifier no matter their positions.

We need to make Barranquilla our La Paz or go to some place that makes us that strong

we should not lose any home games

I want to win home games 5-0 ok maybe not Argentina or Brazil but we beat Peru, Ecuador and Uruguay 5-0 in Barranquilla with Rueda as coach and Pacheco, Restrepo and Elkin Soto being our star players !

we need to not lose points at home that’s what cost us in 2018

I just don't know if the playing in heat is an advantage for us at all. Just seems like torture for both teams.
And this time just as in Copa, Argentina gets an extra day of preparation.

Last game for Luis Suarez at least at home, before retiring.
He still looks sharp and could probably have played for a little longer.

Meanwhile in Colombia Falcao hinting that he should be called up for the NT.
    Could be the journalists though.

I know a uruguayan victory would help us more but I thought Bielsa was an a-hole that made up BS about us in the Copa about colombians attacking players families. So I wouldn't mind to see him lose. He seems to hate us.

Also would be nice if Alfaro could win who is just the opposite. Always nice towards Colombians.

Uruguay draw at home against Paraguay. Not the best way for Suarez to end his national team career but it happens.

Incredible. Bolivia beat Chile away 2-1. Surely Gareca must be sacked now. First a crap Copa and now this.

I wonder when was the last time Bolivia won away in a WC qualifier. They looked super weak in the Copa, I sure did not see this coming.
