I woke up Sunday morning turned on the game, Everton up 1-0 at halftime--cool! It was all downhill from there. Seamus Coleman's last home game too, pretty disappointing. That third goal he should have cleared, not sure what he was thinking there. I feel like the players are just out of gas. I read somewhere that Moyes has used fewer players than any other premier league team this season. I think that says a lot about our lack of depth, hopefully something we can address this offseason. Also, not a fan of Arsenal but at least City didn't win the league again.
I saw that as well that Moyes was maximizing the minutes for some players and they're just out of gas, here is the stat, however it really feels as ownership is actually putting in the effort to improve the team, I'm not sure Moyes is the right guy long term but he is the right guy to bring some stability to the club
I am generally not a conspiracy theorist and fully believe Spurs being relegated would be fully warranted and Arsenal were probably just about worth winning the title, but the disparity in VAR calls that went Arsenal’s way and VAR calls that’s didn’t go Spurs way over the past few of weeks has been … stark.
that rugby tackle at the end on VDV and the reasoning that the ball was not in play when it obviously was and marking a foul but not giving the PK was the clincher for me
Sounds like the premier league is having/had an exciting end both at top and bottom. For someone who follows the bundesliga and who’s team has won 90% of the titles in the last decade, this is very refreshing.
Leverkusen winning it a couple of years ago was fun, I used to follow the Bundesliga closely but I admittedly dropped off this year, however I'm looking forward to the relegation first leg tomorrow, I'm hoping Wolfsburg stays up but we will see how it turns out. most leagues are rather boring, La Liga is Barca/Real Madrid, Italy is Inter/Juventus since AC Milan has dropped off, Ligue 1 is PSG, Eredivse is PSV/Ajax, and of course Bayern Munchen is Bundesliga with Dortmund getting one once in awhile the fun stuff is the relegation for the most part and the most drama comes from the EPL because its regarded as the most watched league in the World
Everton fans just la8gh Sticking with a London club? Or a more northern team? I have a feeling Tottenham will be fine because Everton.
after all the weeks soap opera drama of the Championship League, Hull kills any other drama and gets promoted, I guess the FA is breathing a sigh of relief that they're won't be as many lawsuits as they were expecting.
it won't be any of the big clubs, I'm a masochist when it comes to following teams that make that one moment of glory worth years of misery, as a long time Kings fan you know what I mean
The worst part is that even though Tottenham escaped relegation by the skin of their teeth and Everton technically finished ahead of them, it feels like they had the more successful season.
Cup winners firsts!! Mega stunt in Portugal: second division team wins cup at the expense of Sporting A big sensation in Portugal: second division SC União Torreense won the Taça de Portugal on Sunday at the expense of Sporting Portugal. In extra time, the victory was grabbed by a penalty. As a result, Torreense is also going into Europe. RC Lens made history on Friday night by winning the Coupe de France for the first time After previous lost finals in 1948, 1975 and 1998, Lens settled in the Stade de France with OGC Nice. Coach Pierre Sage was emotional afterwards.
thank you, I'm sure LAA is happy as well for the most part and yes I would have clung on to Everton as they where the closest club to what it feels like to be a Spurs fan, so I would have went from the frying pan to the fire, so to speak.
I wasn't able to sit and watch the game this morning because of other commitments but when I went looking around, I was annoyed that Everton was getting so much hate for not beating Spurs and relegating them, then there was for Spurs staying up and not a peep from these same people when Leeds was laying down for West Ham. calling Everton a shit club and a good for nothing and wishing them relegation and misery going forward because they lost a game to a club that seems to be the most hated in England despite never winning crap. I did learn a few things, I used to have a soft spot for Leeds because of Keane and the early 90s teams but no longer they're fans suck and parade around like they won't be in danger of being relegated next year, I still hate the Arse and that will never change. if Spurs don't fire the arse spy and the other dimwit, I don't see them doing much better than 14-17 in league table next year. I have grown fond of Everton, the fans and the club is very similar to what I have felt with Spurs, so I will always wish them well and will root for them unless it affects Spurs, I've also found that my dislike for other clubs has grown even more and I have a new found respect for a club like Brighton and its owner Tony Bloom
LigaMX final was today as well and former Galaxy player Antuna had a part in Pumas, losing to Cruz Azul as he was red carded for a bad foul which allowed CA to score a couple of minutes later in stoppage time to win their 10th title 1-0
Everton fans were hating on the club...not so much for not relegating Tottenham, but moreso for the dreadful energy they brought to the game and dreadful finish to the season. In the last 7 matches, they managed only 3 pts out of 21 pts and let Europa slip out of their hands. Won't be surprised if they are fighting relegation next season. Moyes has given what can for the club, but they need a more modern manager. And my dislike for Tottenham is really because Everton can never beat them...lol It's really as simple as that. They are the only club that Tottenham beat both at home and away this season. Bournemouth seems like a good club to follow. I started watching some of their matches when Araujo was there and they seem to do things well there. Also will catch some Brentford matches as well.
I did follow both them as well, I guess I can say the same for Forrest and Sunderland as I'm more interested in teams that have to fight for everything and for the most part are humble clubs, I will definitely more in tuned with mid table clubs, their fanbase and ownership, I'm rooting for the clubs that aren't run buy private equity firms or conglomerates
