West Ham seems to have an easier last two games with Newcastle and Leeds compared to Chelsea and Everton for Tottenham.

I've had the Toffees/Spurs match circled for a while now. I'm just happy that Everton are a perfect middling team this season. As mentioned, exciting top and bottom finishes. There's definitely added drama that Man City plays their game in-hand against Palace who's played them tough several seasons now.

Chelsea players don't seem to give a sh** about the regular season games right now. Going to be an interesting two weeks.

from roaming around the internet, the consensus is that Leeds will probably lay down for West Ham and Everton is going to go full tilt to beat Tottenham.

I'm not sure where the huge amount of hate for Tottenham is coming from, they have never won shit and are the biggest underachievers with the resources they have at their disposal.

If I had to hate on Tottenham it would be them being the 9th biggest club in Europe financially that operate like the 9th poorest team in Europe.

I also kind of questioned the hate for Leeds but after following them and Everton a bit more these past couple of months, I now see where the hate for Leeds comes from.

I'm still a bit disgruntled that a PK was called on Tottenham for minimal contact if any on the other player and what really irks me is that if there was contact, it was in the lower jaw/cheek area and the player had a delayed response and then grabs the top of his head and I don't recall seeing any irritation on the players face or anyone making a comment as such.

No dread on my part. I knew we’d be in a relegation battle back around December. I expected(hoped?) the team would be up for it. When it became apparent in January they weren’t I accepted relegation was more likely than not and crucially it was deserved. Not getting relegated last season because the final three teams were so, so bad, should have been a wake up call. It wasn’t. January should have been a wake up call. It wasn’t. I’m not even sure I want them to avoid relegation. The evidence suggests if Tottenham do, the board will rationalize this season as an outlier and continue with business as usual. They’ll spend money no doubt, and talk about how this season was unacceptable and things will change and to be fair a full summer without Levy’s influence maybe it will, but January’s damp squib of a transfer window looked very much like Levy by another name.

After today’s results it looks like a point will be enough to scrape through and knowing current era Tottenham I’m expecting something remarkably unsatisfying like a 74th minute Chelsea own goal to tie the game 1-1 on Tuesday, then hanging on through 9 minutes of stoppage time and a barrage of Chelsea shots hitting the post, being called for offside or some dodgy VAR call. Survival, not through merit, but vagaries and West Ham being even worse.

agreed and as long as the Lewis family is in charge and they have journeyman C-suite execs in charge and a former arse man  these last two years have been more of a preview than an outlier as you mentioned of Tottenham's future, getting a trophy last year just put a band aid on the gaping hole of ownership ineptitude.

I'm also curious to see how they spend and allocate resources, I'm aware of them having preliminary deals with a few players contingent on them staying up but again it feels like a short term solution to placate the fans and not a long term plan.

onto another league, found out a couple of months ago from a Niece that is tracing our heritage and it turns out we are descendants of Ulster-Scots, so I decided to dip into the Scottish Premier League and I'd rather enjoyed the style of play and as I was raised Catholic was leaning towards Celtic but I enjoyed the underdog role of Hearts, decided to just enjoy the games.

I did read a lot how the SPL is a duopoly and I figured it was because Celtic and Rangers just invested more than the other clubs, which is sort of true but them winning 85 percent of titles is ridiculous and thus had made the SPL boring and with Hearts fighting for the Champiomship, it brought some renewed interest but after what happened last week with the phantom PK at the death for Celtic which allowed them to have a shot at the last end and their supporters invading the pitch before the final whistle and the SPL not doing a think about it really shows what a farce the SPL is and deserves all the shame and ridicule they receive.

I also found Celtic fans pulling out the prayer beads and crying because they won the SPL again for the 5th year in a row and 56 title rather ludicrous as well.

I did mention that I enjoy the style of play and I hope the league can attract owners like Tony Bloom, who also owns Brighton to liven up the league but it really feels like the SPL will just be content being a fraud of a league

Toffees and Spurs have so much in common, I think the only difference is one is in the top 10 in financial prosperity in the World and operate like a mid level club and the other club is mid level financially trying to take on the bigger financial clubs

and yes tomorrow is a big game but I suspect, they'll drop points and leave it all for Everton on the last weekend, which can go either way

Final week it is then! Based on how the scenarios have shaped up, only one fan base will get a chance to be disappointed.

I'm not confident that Spurs are going to win and I have a deep feeling that Leeds is going to lay down for West Ham, nonetheless if Spurs goes down, I'm almost certain who I'm rooting for next year in EPL

thats pretty funny, its amusing how much Championship supporters have a hate boner for Tottenham

I ruled out the teams on par with Spurs at the bottom of the table and the teams that are known to attract plastics
