Tottenham doing a Galaxy 2025 in reverse. Tottenham: awful season, but they got a trophy. Galaxy: got a trophy, then had the awful season.
what I got from all this is society is a miserable lot, I enjoyed the Galaxy season last year and any gripes and concerns I put away till the rough season began this year, the same for the Tottenham trophy hunt but people just want to harp on the negative and can't enjoy a single moment of success, (a few on the Tottenham board come to mind) was the game boring and frustrating at times, heck yes, but those last few minutes had me gripping my chair for all it was worth, and I don't consider that boring, so I'm going to enjoy this trophy success warts and all. also like Vanney, Ange deserves another bite at the apple after a trying season that still resulted in a trophy and CL next season, so the harpies that still want him to be gone, need to bottle it till at least the beginning of the next season. COYS!!
So any chance the Galaxy can entice my boy Modric with a tasty TAM contract to keep him from taking a 9-figure deal in Saudi Arabia? Yeah, that’s what I thought….
We all thought you were working on enticing Modric. Did you send him the script and offer him a role in your latest film????
Wild ending to season for English football. Everton beat Newcastle on the road, but Newcastle squeaks into 5th place and the final Champions League spot on goal differential as both Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest lose. Tottenham qualify for CL as the 17th place team thanks to winning the Europa League, and Crystal Palace qualify for Europa League thanks to a 1-0 win over Man City in the FA Cup. Meanwhile, Jamie Vardy will be a free agent after scoring 200 goals in 500 appearances for Leicester.
PSG V Inter Milan https://www.foxsports.com/live-blog...ague-final-live-updates-psg-inter-milan-score
It looks like #32 for Inter has studied defensive tactics under Vanney. The first two goals for PSG were on him. The first one he abandoned his left back position, covered no one, and single-handedly kept attackers onside. The second one he backed off, turned his back, and deflected a shot into his own goal.
PSG finally left the “buy super stars” strategy and built a collection of talented players who can play with each other and it made a huge difference. Inter was awful today. No fight. No answer for PSG. Just awful.
I couldn't resist looking it up. Apparently, no MLS teams have claimed Vardy's discovery rights...yet!
No, just a quick google search. I guess I should have said that publicly no one has claimed him, so it could still happen! I would think that he must have been on some team's lists at some point, but maybe no longer at this stage in his career. There is some connection in MLS, too. His former team mate, Christian Fuchs is an assistant coach at Charlotte FC. Latest rumors have him going to Rangers in Scotland, though.
Anyone watching the Nations League final? Great game so far. Wonderfully played. Wonderfully reffed. Both teams playing the game as it should be. Might be heading to OT.
