Thanks! I'm not very soccer savvy yet, but I try. Nowaf Jaman scored both goals for Chicago. Nice bunch of guys. They signed some autographs for kids after. It was fun.

Wow, close one. Maybe the season will be more interesting than I thought.

Watseka brings out the best in our opponents. They also make a great BBQ pork burger.

This Invader Team is one of the most potent teams we have seen. This game could have gone either way.

Both teams had no luck in the first half. Chisoni from the Invaders had Guzan Lined up in the 18th and 19th minutes only to have Brad make great plays to snuff out the attempt. 42nd minute Watson was the hero snuffing out another great Invader opportunity in the box. 72nd minute, Invaders called offsides on a ball in the back of the net.

Jaman had one of his patented 40 yard break away runs only to push wide what should have been his third goal, Jason Acres had a 30 yard bullet (ala Razov) knocked down. Both defenses were stretched, CFR's depth helped out here as Moss, Robinson and Pollard came in at the half to settle things down.

Mo Nolovu (remember him from Cap Cod Natl champs last two years) did a great job as player and coach for the Invaders.

There was also another sequence in the second half that Brad made a save, was on the deck at the far post only to see the ball come back to about the 18 and an Invader player with a point blank shot, a CFR player got a piece of it. It was an unbelievable sequence.

Chris Sanders added a big boost when he came in, Patrick Grange did a yoeman job of keeping steady preassure on the Invader defense.

The Invaders are the real deal,

Next game tomorrow against a very good Kalamazoo team. The Kingdom need a win to put preassure on the Invaders for a playoff spot. Game is a Lemont at 7:30PM.

Watseka is about two hours south of Chicago, near Indiana. It's the county seat of Iroquois County. Go south on I 57 to U.S. 24 and head toward Indiana. It's only about 10 minutes from the Indiana line.
