The shocking thing was the very end. I was waiting to see who was responsible for it and then come to find that it is the RNC. Really? They are the LEAST creative people I have ever seen. They just did one of those mock mastercard "priceless" commercials last week and now they go all the way back to the Daisy ad?

The reason that ad is still famous is that it was so blatantly a scare tactic that it has been thoroughly discredited. Perhaps it was effective when it ran (one time I believe) in a Willie Horton way, but you can't go back to that well a second time.

They really have nothing. They are just going to TRY to scare the shit out of people and pray for a terror attack on the US so that they can blame Obama. That could not be any less American or any more sad.

my guess was that this was a amateur hack job made to look like RNC work because it was so stupid and poorly done...

but then I looked more closely at who owns the account etc...

    these guys are completely bankrupt...

Beyond riling up liberals and galvanizing conservatives with a fairly realistic and apparently successful television advertisement...

WE've made progress, at least he refers to it as "fairly" realistic, not simply realistic.

Now, this is an ad involving a little girl who, by implication, gets blown up by a nuclear bomb because of alleged weakness in foreign and military policy.

Again, do you have kids? I'd like to know what you think of this ad in the context of whether you have your own kids or not.

Successful in a comedic sense. I don't think that is what they were going for.

    SEMPER HIGH!

Apparently the RNC has neither technical nor creative talent.

The point of this ad is to drive the discussion on the Sunday morning talk shows. If they're talking about this on MTP and George Steph, it's a win for the GOPs. (And, obviously, a loss for journos.)

I first read "neurons" instead of "journos", and I'm not sure which is more correct.

Id love to see the Republican core galvanized. Then they could be driven head deep into their own planks with a single hammer blow.

This is just plain stupid. There are certain things I see that are so poor it's hard not to feel bad for those who made such an idiotic ad. This is up there with "Goals, goals, goals for the red, white and blue".

This whole "moving prisoners from Gitmo is a portent of the next major attack" is such hogwash.

Leave it to the RNC to try and scare people about something that...ahem...has already been happening for some years now.

They really do need to do better research. God, they are just the most retarded and incompetent party out there.

I can't wait to hear Colin Powell put the Nutjob Wing of the Republican Socialist Democratic Party in their place tomorrow morning on "Face the Nation."

If the best they can do is recycle a 45-year old ad that was ran by a Democratic President, I say its not going to work very well.

It gets better. There's a new RNC ad that compares Nancy Pelosi to ********** Galore. I kid you not.

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcNQuHsrxXY&feature=channel_page"]YouTube - Pelosi v. The CIA[/ame]

EDIT: LOL, BS edited out the name "Pu$$y." What if I were talking about my cat? Fascists.

Great ad... The RNC is on top of its game here... Get traction on Pelosi and play up the Doctor Evil subtext (democrats against the CIA therefore democrats against America)... Pelosi is certainly no Honor Blackman but I think Americans will get the analogy...

The RNC is showing its fascist roots.

Your hatred of America is appalling.

You haven not galvanized me. You need me to win whether you like it or not.

    Sincerely,
Someone who has spent hundreds of hours of his life volunteering for Republicans.

As well as his hate of trademarks. United Artists and EON Productions should sue the shit out of the RNC

See Matt... respectfully... I think you are wrong here... I see the GOP, my Republican Party, as more galvanized than ever, together against BHO, together against Pelosi, together against the far left socialism that plagues the nation. Steele's recent speech rich with illustrative example of why the left is bad for the nation so that even you can understand. In recent House and Senate votes, Republicans have spoke with one voice. Almost unanimous against BHO's alleged stimulus, almost unanimous against BHO's budget. In so doing, we have shed RINOs like Spectre and Powell (these not worthy of comment) and become a united party of one voice... In time we will galvanize more voices in our large tent as BHO's disaster becomes more apparent; as his Anti-American intent more clear. Indeed you are right the GOP needs you and many others to win and we will get that as the pendulum of tolerance swings our way...

For their part, the pathetic left try to subdivide the GOP with allegation of fascism and racism; they like lemmings cannot stand the questioning of BHO and resort in like kind to their campaign. But, in time, as BHO failure cannot be blamed on allegations of "something inherited," or "Bush's fault," in time when Obama man love wears off, in time when the scope of BHO's tax upon America becomes clear, and in time when even the vapid liberal media decides to question Team Obama for its lack of success economically, the GOP's star will indeed rise again...

Now the GOP needs only to shine the focus of patriotism and ask if BHO is working in America's intent? Many question motives of leftist slant of America led by the White House... Failure by the left will become more clear and the GOP stands united in opposition to that failure. You too will come aboard in time...

You need to sell more than opposition to win me back. I need ideas. Without mentioning anyone on the left, what does your party offer (because it doesn't want me anymore)?

You can't fault us for not offering ideas if the liberal media refuses to cover them! This past week we - the GOP - offered a preemptive health plan as an alternative to what the left will undoubtedly try to sell and previously the GOP offered up a budget plan which the left faulted. Politically, we are putting forth alternative ideas; our RNC leader Michael Steele addressed just this issue last week that even governors were calling bold and courageous. So, in fairness, we - the GOP - are offering competing and alternative ideas but our liberal media pan them, refuse to cover them, and deny us the fairness they themselves extol... in time our message will get through. Do not despair.
