    Thats history.
He missed 0 games due to this eye-problems.
He only wore a basecap and something to provide the swet coming into his eyes, thats it.

The eye issue was short-term, but gross nonetheless. He played a few games with BOTH an ear infection and pinkeye (conjunctivitis). Man, no wonder he's always in a lousy mood.

The problem with Frey is that he hasn't gotten to prove himself on the European stage. Buffon and Dida were both brilliant in arguably the largest stage in the world in the CL Final last year. Toldo had one of the best games I have ever seen from a keeper single handedly propelling Inter past Valencia with a string of amazing saves in the return leg at Valencia. Frey? Uhh...well, his France chances have been close to 0, and as tough as Serie A is when you are one of those teams expected to get into the top half of the table but not compete with the Inter, Milan, Juventus, and Roma type teams the pressure isn't as high.
Frey is a good keeper, not arguing that, but its just tough to put him up there with Buffon at the current time IMO. As to who actually would want him, thats a different story....his next move has to be into a huge club, but the transfer market being what it is that will be tough. Bayern would be a good fit, but not until Kahn retires, and who knows when that will be...Chelsea and Man Utd? Laughable with their current keeping situations.

Is Yanks abroad a magnet for Germans and English or what. It's OK guys, when you're not looking we say even meaner things.
