A lot of you seem unhappy with Mick to the point where some are wanting him out. So now is your chance to say who you would like to see in charge.

I brought this up some time ago and was left underwhelmed by the options.
I don't think Mick needs to be replaced - a few (2 or 3) changes in his team selection is all that needs to be altered.
If, however, he persists with sub-par players or players out of position, I think we will soon have to cast our net.
But for the life of me I can't think of any viable alternative.

The only Irish guy would be O'Leary, whilst O'Neill would be good, but has baggage as he's Northern Irish (i.e. the Neil Lennon situation). Perhaps the guy Moore, who manages Rotherham would be a good choice in 2004/6, although if he carries on like he is I wouldn't mind him taking over when Souness retires.

I don't think anyone would count the fact that Mortin O'Neill is from the North as baggage. We've already had a thread about this.

O'Neills only problem is the fact he wont come to us. I reckon we should go for someone like Graham, people may think he's not going to set the world alight, but he's an improvement over Mick and wont be afraid to pick players on merit rather then who used to mind his kids and is now a regular fixture in every Ireland squad confusing almost every Irish supporter around (Mark Kennedy anyone?)

If the job is available the suitable condidates will come out of the woodwork- Let's face it a manager that can get on with ALL his players and not treat the squad as and 'Old Boys Club' where he gets a chance to reward his mates would be an improvement over 'the muppet'

    Doctor Stamen's comment re O'Neill

"The only Irish guy would be O'Leary, whilst O'Neill would be good, but has baggage as he's Northern Irish (i.e. the Neil Lennon situation)".

O'Neill is Irish and has no baggage. The scum that follow Northern Ireland gave him dogs abuse when he played for them after he said that his ambition was to play for a united Irish team. If O'Neill's career was starting again he'd be playing for Ireland, not Northern Ireland. Same goes for Neil Lennon. Henry McStay (Leeds youth) didn't make the same mistake as his fellow Lurgan man and in light of recent events viz. Lennon it seems Northern Ireland's playing pool has been halved.
