wow, it almost sounds like the higher-ups at Monterrey gave him one last chance to redeem himself for the crappy season and he blew it.

I wonder - if Alex had put away his header off the goal post in the second half of extra time, would Hugo de Leon have kept his job...

I only watched the second extra time period, but man was that ever a typical CONCACAF crappy game.

 

I can't say anything except that Hugo De Leon had Monterrey playing some futbol without garra. He was happy with draws and not taking risks. Much different than the way Monterrey played with Passarella.

Hopefully the next to go is Arias. These are the type of coaches that do harm to the MFL.

 

As boring as Arias is he has proven to be a good coach. He is basically Lapuentes clone. I dont see him getting fired anytime soon. As for Monterrey lets just hope they bring in a better coach this time. They have a very good squad to be playing like crap.
