Now since the question is out there, we MUST have a poll to see what everyone in Baltimore thinks! What should out team be called???
Re: Baltimore Pro Soccer None of the above? But then again, if you just called it "Baltimore Bay" or "Baltimore Bay SC" or even "Baltimore BaySC," I'd probably think it was cooler.
Re: Baltimore Pro Soccer Clearly the "a poll to see what everyone in Baltimore thinks!" part of that sentence was past by some...
Re: Baltimore Pro Soccer The thread is just called Baltimore Soccer, and I think fans from all over the league should be interested in the names of the clubs. The names of the teams we play against will affect they way the league and our own teams are seen. Yeah, it's clear that many of us aren't from Baltimore, but there's no reason to go getting all isolationist here. This is, after all, an open board. You really don't want outside input from anyone?
Re: Baltimore Pro Soccer I like CP Baltimore. Nice name, shows the link between this franchise and their parent franchise in England.
Re: Baltimore Pro Soccer Lowecifer did a really nice kit design in the MLS expansion thread. https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showpost.php?p=19182970&postcount=353 I would love to see this.
Re: Baltimore Pro Soccer Ha I love this. I had an dream that if Balt. had a team it would be this. Creative. All it needs is McCormick as a sponsor.
Re: Baltimore Pro Soccer I have to admit... I'm a huge fan of this idea. Just not the locomotive name... Don't want to be the "Locos" like that UFL team Could start a "Rail" derby with Cary.
Re: Baltimore Pro Soccer You could be the Baltimore Boilermakers and completely steal Purdue's nickname and colors.
Re: Baltimore Pro Soccer Nice, but not totally original I'm afraid. I guess y'all didn't know about Real Maryland's 2008 kit based on the same concept. Here's a match report from 2008 with some photos (you may have to scroll down to see the Real MD players)
i read somewhere that Crystal Palace is broke and hasn't even paid their players for their English team. how are they gonna support their NASL team? maybe Baltimore NASL would be better off independent of Crystal Palace???
If you're going to call them Baltimore Bays FC, then the least you can do is put a picture of a blue crab inside of a circle/soccer ball as your logo. The colors can be blue and red.
As a big fan of Crystal Palace (England) I would really rather they keep that identity in their name.
i like Baltimore Eagles honestly since the nickname is the USA Eagles. Mainly because you know someone is going to say there's a crystal palace in Baltimore???
Side note: There have been a few names going around with the possible DC United move to Baltimore. The most notable are: Baltimore Blues (logo having a Blue Crab) B.C. United
CP has apparently registered a variety of internet domain names. Black and gold doesn't cut it - duplicates Real MD (USL-2) and blackof DC United. Nike CP kits are sharp (got rid of the blue/gold road uniforms from last year). Baltimore Bays is NOT a good name as the local and national powerhouse youth team organization is called the Baltimore Bays - too cozy. There is also a Baltimore FC youth team organization. CP Baltimore is good choice! The eagle can remain the nickname (better than Toffees, Acorns, etc.)
