I think he means Christiano Ronaldo. I take Christiano Ronaldo. He is one of the few players in the world that are so entertaining to watch that the total time they have the ball can be more entertaining than the rest of the team's play in the 85 minutes of play (assuming Ronaldo had the ball for 5 minutes which equals the 90 minutes of soccer). think about it. There were some ugly man u games where the only thing worth watching was Ronaldo. Remember that game at fulham where he totally owned Volz?? It was so bad that I actually felt sad for Volz, the guy probably had nightmares that night! I had never in my life seen a player destroy another player so badly.

Its fairly obvious hes trying to compare United current right sided midfielder with their old one so why the hell would he put Rooney? Or mean anyone but Cristiano? Lol I hope he means Cristiano otherwise I look stupid For me its got to be Cristiano, Beckham, whilst a fantastic player, is much more limited than Ronaldo, he can't dribble, has been drifting deeper and deeper in his later years beocming less effective simulataneously. He is only there for two things, crosses and dead ball stuff. His crossing is now far less effective than Ronaldo, not due to accuracy but due to the number he puts in over the course of a game and the deepness from which he strikes them. 50 yards short of the end line? Not for me thanks. Ronaldo is a genuine superstar in the making and I think he is in the top 3 wingers in the world even now, at 19.
With passing like Beckham's, why would he really need to dribble? The term 'Let the ball do the work' comes to mind.
Well it makes him limited, he needs good team mates around him to give him the ball in space, Ronaldo would be awsome in any team in the world, Beckham would not. His passing is also becoming suspect as he tries silly long balls more often, against Croatia he skipped 5 opportunities to thread the ball down the wing to Gary Neville and instead put the ball out for a throw in on the other side of the field. Best striker of a dead ball in world football, yes, but not as good as Ronaldo, every United fan I know has come round to this way of thinking also, we are better off with the Portugese one.
