Just remember you may want to get tickets ahead of time for the two remaining games and the playoffs as the capacity will now shrink by 1,500 or so for the rest of the season.

Because NCC needs the track that some of the stands are on.

what, were you under the impression that the Fire were just taking out seats for the fun of it or something?

does anyone know why the track is specifically needed?

track season is in the spring, this would be x-c season... i'm sure they would like to do the occasional track workout, but it's not like there aren't any other all weather tracks in the area

It's not being removed for the track, it's being removed for football field length. The two ends are riding the football endzones and football season is starting soon.

So, a few rows (up to the walkway) of both ends are being taken out.

ok, for whatever reasons, the impression that i had of it being the sidelines had never been corrected

Hala is correct. We are looking at the possibility of adding standing room in place of the removed 8 rows at each end.
