Remember this game?

The two friday night matches were colder.

 

Anyone remember the 2001 College Cup?

Only had about 6 total overtimes between the two games. Second game was supposed to start at 7:30, finishing around 9:30. Only problem was, clock said 9:05 and the first game was just ending. While I forget what time the 2nd game ended, it must have been quite a bit after midnight.

To top it all off, it was freezing rain. Or snowing. Or some evil combination thereof.

I remember those games vividly. wow, they were cold.

 

I think I went to see vertical horizon instead.

 

I thought you watched trading spaces instead.

 

Could've been. It was either that or ABC family.

 

To tell you the truth, I really DON'T remember much about that game, other than how absurd it felt to be crammed into a second deck men's room at the half with 50 other guys because it was the only place that had heat.

Other than that, I remember standing there wishing it was over.

Crew Stadium bid on the finals for those two years and obviously made an attractive offer. It will be interesting though to see if the NCAA ever comes back. They may have had enough of CBus in December.

 

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who had that as a strange, strange memorory of the weekend.
