Evidently DCU was not the only coaching situation to involve a plane flying over the stadium with a sign regarding the...um...competence of the coach. Just noticed this from the Rochester Democrat talking about Eric Wynalda in his tenure at San Jose and his coach at the time Laurie Calloway.

"Wynalda reportedly admitted to once hiring a plane pulling a banner to fly over Spartan Stadium. The banner’s message: Fire the coach."

Of course nobody else knew about this until now, because there were no people at the game to witness it.

Funny when fans do it, a bit unprofessional for your star forward to do it though.

But only a team member would know where the Quakes played...if you could find a fan they couldn't tell a pilot where the stadium was... :D

The quote in the paper is a little sketchy, "Wynalda reportedly admitted...." The author never heard him say it but heard that he said it. Sounds like a game of telephone in kindergarten. Frankly, I'll give waldo the benefit of the doubt on this one.
