Old timers might be interested in this story. I wondered what ever happened to Johnny. Apparently he didn't follow the club down to Carson. http://www.sgvtribune.com/news/ci_15344967
Who doesnt remember him? That guy screamed the entire game! I never met a fan with so much passion for LAG back then. Im sure hes made it to some HDC games, but he must have hung up his "boots" and retired. Glad to see he is doing well.
I sat next to him a couple of times at the Rose bowl. Up close he was very loud lol. It is always nice to be with great fans at a football match though.
LAG ought to invite him down to Carson for one game, at their expense, maybe for Fan Appreciation night the last game of the season. Steve - do you think that's an idea worth floating.
That would be an incredible honour to a guy who supported MLS and LAG during those crucial early years. Many times Id go to a game with everyone around me total newbies (werent we all sorta?) and he would rile them up. Im sure he helped create a few lifelong LAG fans. I bet theres footage of him someplace. Now, the only thing left is to wait patiently for the shootout to be reinstated.
