well, he wants back into the MLS and two teams are interested.... http://www.planetfootball.com/article.asp?id=126805&cpid=12&title=Bishop+set+for+American+move he was a thorn in the Quakes side and brought an Englishman's cynicism to the midfield....but was fun to watch.... could FY be eyeing the former Man City fave?
Gawd, I hope not. Bishop didn't show much that year on the Fusion (especially against us in the postseason), and now he's two years older. He'd be a steady bench sub, but I wouldn't want him slotted as a member of our starting XI at the expense of developing someone else.
Isn't he the guy who sued MLS after he didn't get picked up in the leftovers draft when Miami got folded? Didn't he have some bitter things to say about MLS then? I bet he's talking to A-league teams because I don't think any MLS team would want to put up with him after all of that.
Yeah, I think he was. And I think he's the fishhole who said so much fish about the Quakes during the playoffs. Though I can't remember. I thought it was Ray, but now I remember it was just one of his many fishy players!
Tanks! Poor Ray. We kept asking him where his skirt was! Hee hee! Then at the Brit for the Dallas/Metros game, my Metros lost and he said to me, "Where's your skirt? Where's your skirt?" in a girlie little voice. And later he admitted he had no idea what I meant. LOL!! It wasn't him who said it.
Too bad. When I read the title of this thread, I thought it would mean "Ian Bishop -- Requiem in Pacem." So we see he is really alive. He's carrying too much bad baggage for the Quakes to accept him.
He's just an a$$hole. Can't do anything now at 38. He was fighting for playing time back in England. I hope it's A-League teams interested in him. MLS would be horrible.
