I was picking up comics today, and the shop had a new poster for the upcoming remake of Willard. Crispin Glover plays Willard (originally played by Bruce Davidson). R. Lee Ermey (most notable as the drill sergeant in Full Metal Jacket) is in the bully role originally played by Ernest Borgnine. Some actress I've never heard of is in the Sondra Locke role. The rats look bigger this time, and I presume this version will have much more graphic carnage than the original, which left lots to the imagination. Some of you may have seen a trailer already (the clerk at the store had). I had no idea this flick was on the horizon. Hopefully they'll stop at Willard and forget about remaking "Ben," which sucked.
Saw a preview for it Sat. night in a packed theater before "Shanghai Knights". People actually booed the preview and most comments from around me included loud swearing followed by "that movie looks terrible".
Hilarious. I'm sure this would be better if Crispin Glover was acting like his speedo character from River's Edge as he plays Willard. Then again, maybe not...
