Reading the news of Mastroeni's retirement, I was struck by the mention that he played for the "contracted" Miami Fusion. With Ramiro Corrales retiring, there really aren't any 96'ers left (Friedel, sort of.) Soon, there won't be much reason to mention the Fusion and Mutiny, either, unless it's to compare them to MLS's newer, shinier, more successful Florida superclubs. The only players that I can count who played for either of MLS's contractions are: Jon Busch (only played for TB in friendlies) Kyle Beckerman (Fusion) Nick Rimando (Fusion)
