Leeds have 34 points with 9 games to go. Conventional wisdom says that 40 points are needed to stay up. I'm not worried but I am more than a little irked about having to think about relegation.

That's what concerns me. I think we really only have a shot at beating 'Boro, Fulham, Aston Villa, and possibly Southampton and Blackburn.

A perfect end to this miserable season would be for Leeds to defeat Arsenal on May 3 thereby handing Man Utd the title.

You know I was thinking about that earlier this year, during the Worth Cup final of Arsenal and Man U I was wondering who I should be rooting for, obviously I usually would of been pulling for Arsenal since Man U lossing brings me almost as much joy as Leeds winning... But if I remember correctly the Rio sale to Man had stipulations that if Man U would of won the W Cup, FA, and League we would of got another couple of million... But alas even if it was for the good of Leeds, I couldn't bring myself to root for Man U...

I'm not worried about Relegation, it would take a hell of an effort to get relegated with the likes that are at the bottom... What worries me is Kewell/Robinson leaving, and regardless of whether Leeds has money, quality players wanting to come to Leeds to play for a bottom table club...

    Agreed.

I think if you take a look back at the season, Paul Robinson and Harry Kewell are the only 2 reasons we're not getting relegated. (That and West Ham and Sunderland have sucked even worse than us)

On the flip side, If you look back at all the leads we pissed away in the last ten minutes of a match, and all the Just Missed chances that somehow didn't go in, we'd be in the UEFA Cup next year at the very least. But that's the breaks...

I'm not too worried about this season, it's NEXT season that scares me. Ridsdale said today that this is one bad season out of the last 6. That it's just a blip year that will be forgotten. He seems to forget that he SOLD EVERYBODY. Next season will be tooth and nail/game to game all the way.

And if we DO get relegated, we don't have the class or luck at the moment to be gaurenteed a quick rise back up. LUFC is a strong club with a huge, loyal following...they'll come back up eventually, because someone will always buy tickets. But it could take a decade.
