I have read that it can hold 18,185 people.Lens can be considered Lille's main rival. They are région rivals.

Thanks a lot Douai! I appreciate it. I may have some more questions at some point, but I am trying to learn as much as possible. I look forward to their match with Lens this weekend on Setanta.

I thought Lille and PSG were big rivals too. I believe Lille is just outside of Paris, in the suburbs. I could be wrong.

I've heard of PSG-Creteil rivalry instead. Is there such a thing?

Allez, you're the official Lille apologist;) . Sure, a tie with Barça would draw a full house but it's not as if they have one every week. Just 6,000 fans and they have their yearly average. Perhaps a new stadium and continued success will tip the regional balance of power in their favor. And perhaps that stadium will actually get built!

No. PSG had a rivalry with Racing Paris back when they both were in the top division. It wasnt an intense and fierce rivalry but still one nonetheless.

I keep checking Lille websites to see when they are actually gonna start building it and all I ever see are no new news, delay, no new news, delay, delay, no new news, delay, etc etc et. This stadium issue thing it seems has been pushed back and delayed for over 5 years now running.

    Lens is down a player:
"35' cartonrouge Quelques minutes après avoir été averti une première fois, Sidi Keita écope d'un second avertissement pour une faute à retardement sur Mathieu Bodmer. L'ancien Strasbourgeois est donc inévitablement expulsé."

Quite a soft yellow, particularly for a player already on one. Lamentable.

That said, Lille look the hungrier team today while Lens look very tentative. Perhaps Lens could have mounted a comeback on the two goal deficit with 11on the field the second half but I'm not convinced it would have happened. Good to the see the "Non au LOSC à Bollaert" sign prominently displayed for the cameras in the Lens section.

Odemwingie again in the 67th minute. It's beyond embarrasing now. Someone please shot Ramos on the left hand side of Lens' defense, Keita skinned him all day long.

Fantastic result for Lille yesterday! I recorded the match on my DVR and watched it last night. LOSC looked impressive. I look forward to the PSG match this Saturday. Let's make it three wins out of three!!
