So we’re going to have high oil prices for another 3 years. At least. And no alternative energy sources!!!
Until he is replaced on Jan 20, 2029... Any expectation that Trump leaves office prior to that is wishful thinking at best.
At 12 noon. If the U.S. switches to permanent Daylight Saving Time, that will be one hour sooner than under Standard Time.
I think it was Jimmy Kimmel who suggested because trump likes to put his name on everything we should start calling it the trump-epstein files. Request change of thread title.
America already has had experience with Presidents who were essentially unable to govern without them being replaced. Even in a worst case scenario I expect Trump to remain "President" while others rule in his name. Maybe toss out an AI speech once in a while. I'm getting deja-vu. Didn't we talk about this before?
Meh. If that is assuming that the guards killed him, it contradicts the warning the inmate (same?) gave telling Epstein not to kill himself. As he was on suicide watch, the comments the guards made could be akin to a failure to monitor and a panicked utterance.
He was the most notorious prisoner in the country at the time. And we're to believe a malignant narcissist with secrets on lots of people just offed himself. Michael Baden's conclusion was that he was strangled.
He observed the autopsy at the request of the family. The fracturing of the hyoid bone seems to be a bone of contention in these cases. (AI) Dr. Michael Baden was hired by Jeffrey Epstein's brother, Mark Epstein, to observe the August 2019 autopsy of Jeffrey Epstein. Baden, a forensic pathologist, contested the official suicide ruling, stating that neck fractures were more consistent with homicide by strangulation. He raised questions about the mechanics of the hanging. Key Points on Baden's Findings: Neck Fractures: Baden noted three broken bones in the neck, which he argued are unusual for suicidal hanging but common in strangulation. Evidence Questioned: He disputed the suicide ruling, suggesting the scene and injuries pointed to homicide. Cell Conditions: Baden questioned how a man of Epstein's size could hang himself from a lower bunk and noted upright items in the cell, as reported by Wikipedia. The New York City chief medical examiner maintained the suicide ruling, despite Baden's findings.
Yeah, i forensic anthropology one thing we learned is a broken hyoid is usually the result of strangulation.
New installation ... A woman’s heart is a deep ocean of secrets. The appearance of a golden statue depicting Donald Trump and the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein as doomed lovers from the movie Titanic is confronting Washington with a murkier mystery. The nearly 12ft sculpture, unveiled on Tuesday on the National Mall, is the third piece of guerrilla art satirising Trump’s past relationship with Epstein attributed to The Secret Handshake, a shadowy collective whose members remain anonymous. It is not known if the statues are related to a “Jeffrey Epstein Walk of Shame” recently installed in Farragut Square, a public park close to the White House, that featured Hollywood-like stars with the names of prominent figures tied to Epstein. But together the interventions appear determined to keep the Epstein files, where Trump’s name appears thousands of times, in the public spotlight despite the war in Iran and myriad other distractions. The latest sculpture recreates the famous scene from the 1997 blockbuster Titanic in which the lovers Jack and Rose, played by Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet stand at the prow of the ill-fated ocean liner, with Jack proclaiming: “I’m the king of the world!” Trump stands behind Epstein with arms outstretched as the pair face the distant spire of the Washington Monument, mounted on a replica of the bow of the ship. The installation, titled “King of the World” and spray-painted gold, is accompanied by plaques offering a pointed commentary on the pair’s past association. “The tragic love story between Jack and Rose was built on luxurious travel, raucous parties, and secret nude sketches,” one reads. “This monument honors the bond between Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein, a friendship seemingly built on luxurious travel, raucous parties and secret nude sketches.” https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/mar/11/titanic-statue-trump-epstein-national-mall
When a mom does things right. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cr4576v66kno "If I had disobeyed my mother and gone to New York, what might have happened to me?" asks Gláucia Fekete. In 2004, as a 16-year-old living in the Brazilian countryside, she was taking her first steps in the modelling world. She says French modelling agent Jean-Luc Brunel visited her family home, to persuade her mother to let her go to a modelling contest in Ecuador. He later killed himself in prison, accused of rape, sexual assault and recruiting girls for the late US financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. ... Gláucia says that towards the end of the trip, Brunel offered to fly her to New York "to take part in shows" with all expenses paid. At that point they had to contact her mother, Barbara, for permission. Barbara's response: "No. Not a chance. "They were only looking for children, minors," Barbara says. "Unfortunately they found my daughter." She forbade Gláucia from any more involvement in modelling and cut ties with Brunel's network. "It really was a narrow escape," says Gláucia. In files released by the US government, BBC News Brasil found records showing that Epstein was in Guayaquil on 24 and 25 August 2004, at the same time as the final of the modelling competition. We also saw documents indicating that at least one model under 16 who attended the event flew on Epstein's plane at least twice in the same year.
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/clyxezdv335o An image of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Peter Mandelson with the paedophile Jeffrey Epstein has been found in documents released by the US Department of Justice (DOJ). It is the first known image of the three men together, but no time or location is given for the photograph. ITV News said the photo was taken in Martha's Vineyard in the US and is believed to have been taken between 1999 and 2000, before Epstein was sentenced to 13 months in prison and registered as a sex offender. I'm thinking Starmer might lose his job over approving Mandelson for Ambassador to the US.
Is there a ballpark number of men who are known to have visited the island? Still no clarence thomas?
I think this can be a misleading question. I came across an article that talked about how Epstein liked to surround himself with academics. In one example, he hosted a conference at some high end hotel int he Virgin Islands (I think), and then invited everybody to his island for some kind of retreat/diving/dinner with explicit instructions not to wander off. Some of those scientists got an uncomfortable vibe and never visited again as well as not dealing with him because he came across as money but lack of knowledge. And that seems to be the case with others as well - they met him, and even visited his island, but got a bad vibe and never dealt with him again. Or did so on an extremely limited basis (such as a few emails). I think a better question would be when did people visit, and how many had multiple visits. Additionally, it should be crosschecked with emails. And I suspect this is being dug into by a number of reporters. In the current tranche, I doubt he is there as his name has not come up directly. There is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/insi...med-in-unverified-epstein-claim/gm-C1D314340F But that only says second hand suspicion and nothing direct.
