My take of this is closely aligned to Wolff. I think Trump knew all about Epstein, but I don't think he was particularly into the underage girl thing. I'm not sure he liked younger women, but not necessarily children. However, I think Trump was up to his ears in financial crimes, in full keeping with his history. This was probably well known by Epstein and has trails of links all over his own file, given their close friendship.
Yep. That's my take. Not sure Trump even knew Epstein's whole trafficking operation. I think it was Wolff who also said that his bday letter reference about sharing something was a reference to some woman they both dated possibly at the same time in the early 90s. Young but not underage ... like early 20s.
That is also mostly my take. Though I suspect that he would not have sex with a young teen, but an minor teen is within reason. That said, he is fearful about his health, and has described the 1980s as his personal Vietnam, so there might be something to his having sex with sex trafficked girls in the 1980s. With that said, I don't think that really scares him. His bigger fear is his own perception of his own wealth, and how he became "wealthy." Of note, when he talks about how successful of a business man he is, there is never a discussion about how he bankrupted 2 casinos, and was heavily fined for lax oversight of the finances which have been suspected due to money laundering.

I think this might be the Road to Damascus moment for some MAGA people. One FB friend has stopped talking about the Epstein files or anything political in the last week or so, even though they still post more than they breathe. Trump has also been touting these Epstein files on the campaign trail for years and finally has the power to expose this cabal that lives in the shadows. After all, he isn't an elite and always tells the truth. Now he does not, which makes him a liar because there is nothing there, or part of the elites. And yes, we know that Trump lies, but this time it was super blatant and to his base. He assumed that they would swallow it and go along with whatever he said. And since he has tied this to a conspiracy theory, it only reinforces their feelings about what is in those actual files. The issue with his base is that Trump has been portraying himself to MAGA as some weird moral beacon (Bizarro Superman) incorruptible not part of the elites truthful We all can agree he is in the Epstein files. This punts away one of these 4 points, depending on what prism each individual supporter views him through. Depending on how much he is in the files, it could eliminate all 4.
I sure as Hell didn't keep up Trump campaign speech over the years, but from what I understand it's something he was touting. That Fox interview from last year, in which Fox initially edited the whole answer out (but later showed the whole answer), shows that he was tip toed around making everything public. Honestly there are legal issues around disclosing names of people who haven't been charged. It was people in the right wing MAGA echo sphere like Bongino, Kash Patel who repeatedly pushed this story hard.

Yeah, on second thought, it might be too ambitious. But the shine is definitely off the apple. It's ok if Trump lies to everyone, but the base (or at least the 3 FB acquaintances I have) definitely feel a type of way about being blatantly getting the rug pulled out from under them. And it wasn't even a decent rug pull. Like I said before, you can't keep saying for years that the headliner is about to come onstage, and then just turn on the lights and tell everyone to go home. People will want answers. And the administration didn't address them properly. So now it is out of their control. Trump himself was not pushing it a lot at his rallies, but his speakers/surrogates were certainly talking about it.
