That’s primarily because they mention praying for the dead, and Protestants are not down with that. But as a historical reference Maccabee 1 and 2 are considered reliable, if biased, sources.
https://bsky.app/profile/johngosland.bsky.social/post/3mea2374kac2z This is a video of Kid Rock telling a pedo joke on SNL, which has been largely scrubbed from the internets. Not in the files.
It's because the Catholic Old Testament is based on the Septuagint (the Hebrew scriptures translated into Greek in the 3rd and 2nd century BC) while the Protestant Bibles are based on the Hebrew Bible which was codified later.
The first half of Have I Got News for You, which focuses on the Epstein Files and includes Adam Schiff as a guest panelist (he also gets the biggest laugh). Not as funny as usual, given the topic, but well worth a watch.
I thought the Bronze Age collapse book (1177 BC: The Year Civilization Collapsed) was excellent. I've read a couple other things by him that I thought were a bit too heavy leaning towards accepting the Bible as "true-ish" solely because it's the Bible, regardless of what the evidence says - those were From Eden to Exile: Unraveling Mysteries of the Bible and Biblical Archaeology: A Very Short Introduction - but 1177 BC in particular was excellent.
The DOJ had a draft statement announcing Epstein’s death THE DAY BEFORE HE DIED. again…the day before. Before. Not after. Before. That’s one hell of a prediction, wouldn’t you say? https://www.thedailybeast.com/epstein-files-reveal-prosecutors-announcement-dated-before-his-death/
Even if true… Doesn’t the President have immunity as this was official business, as per the Roberts SCOTUS?
If it was done because Trump didn't want Epstein testifying against him, then it's not an official act of the President. Except... if Trump didn't want to be tried because doing so would damage the respect of the office and distract him from his job, then it is an official act. What isn't an official act by the President? It's the loophole that covers everything. Trump could go to Reno and shoot a man just to watch him die and I'm sure his lawyer could come up with an explanation as to why it's an official act of the office.
@ChrisMurphyCT Good morning. The President of the United States was in the middle of the most serious child sex trafficking ring of the last quarter century. He is referenced not a dozen times in the case files. Not 100 times. Not 1,000 times. He’s referenced 38,000 time
Going back in time, I just learned that Acosta was not the lead investigative attorney way back. It was A. Marie Villafaña. https://abcnews.go.com/US/lead-pros...-epstein-fullest-extent-law/story?id=64870331 Apparently she was also not just looking at the rape and sex trafficking, but money laundering as well. As Deep Throat said, follow the money. And, subsequently, Epstein's attorneys leaned on Villafaña's supervisors up the line, the most direct being Acosta. And it seemed she had the goods, but was taken off the case.
I love this conspiracy, but: DRAFT document DATED the day before. That doesn't mean it was created then or edited then. I don't know how many times I've created a new memo, letter, or report using the one I just finished writing as a basis. Metadata and logs are key.
Yes. This Herald article has more details. Villafana thinks Acosta was intimidated by Epstein's legal team which included Capt Undeprants Alan Dershowitz and Ken Starr of Clinton bj fame https://amp.miamiherald.com/news/state/florida/article247251804.html
If this was created from a template, then it’s likely the date autofilled. But yes, further investigation is needed.
If you don't watch Patrick Boyle's YouTube videos, the series he has on Epstein is really, really good. And not all of them are finance based. And, to note, he is risking demonetization of his entire channel for talking about Epstein. His latest (which is longer than normal) at just over 45minutes
Ken White, aka popehat has a “modest proposal” on how society should react to all of the famous, influential, powerful people showing up in the Epstein Files. https://www.popehat.com/p/a-letter-on-justice-and-open-debate-about-raping-children there is a clear madness, an insanity, to all of this which this piece exposes.
I'm still surprised Matt Gaetz hasn't been mentioned in the Epstein Files. Maybe he's just too johnny-come-lately for that crowd.
