You know this news is prety big when even ESPN Sports Center in the USA mentions it on their little crawl scoreboard as a headline of the day. Good luck to Rueda (other than when he faces Colombia of course).
Haha getting a foreign coach that early might bite them in the ass why don’t they go for Pelligeini who coached Real/Man City and is Chilean especially if they wages rumored are true Rueda is going to jump ship the second Colombia is like yo baby looking good

The chileans of bigsoccer arent so happy from what i read......... @kromekote and i should have to defend him from false acussations....
fyp Unfortunately, if it took until recent years to see the pedigree of Colombian talent on the field, it will take many more DT like Rueda and even the likes of Osorio to get any credibility. Fans tend to associate their DT with the success of their respective country as opposed to separating the 2 vocations. The majority of soccer professionals are usually groomed and brought up through the ranks of their respective nation/academy/club and will take years to properly develop. While the other profession (Coach/DT) doesn't need the same environment. Often the best 'classroom' for a DT is to be exposed to many different classrooms, environments/press, tactics, leagues and players... this same classroom environment would ironically be the toughest way for any player to reach peak success. Rueda has been exposed to Europe and Latin America and has proven time and time again to be a very prepared, efficient and successful DT. He knows how to play qualifiers and knows how to maximize every players quality. Considering Chile will be going thru a huge transition of players where their golden generation is on the bottom side of the bell curve, I think he's a very smart signing.
