This is a few days old but it went completely unnoticed by me. The article is about New Zealander Wynton Rufer who would likely be Rahhagel's assistant. Just a rumor, but interesting nonetheless. http://www.tribalfootball.com/june/austnews1280604.html
Angelo Gragucci may now be the favorite as opposed to Rehhagel - http://www.tribalfootball.com/july/italnews2010704.html
I'd like to see him manage Lazio, I've been very impressed with him during Euro2004. Anyone who can get Greece to beat the holders France, the hosts, Portugal, twice and the best team in the tournament Czech Republic must have somthing going for him. Having also won the Bundesliga with teams such as Kaiserslaughten(Sp?) and Weder Bremnan proves this isn't a fluke. The language barrier shouldn't be much of a problem either, how much Greek do you think he knew before he took the job?
Well if he's going to stay in international football he should stay with Greece, he has more chance of winning the world cup with them than Germany.
hard not to agree with this, but I'd bet he either stays with Greece or takes over Germany. I would bet on Gregucci as the next coach. He'll be cheaper and has worked well with young players recently...
i thought he already said no to germany? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/euro_2004/greece/3865811.stm
Rehhagel got lucky with Greece, not with his GREAT coaching abilities. It would be shameful if the Lazio board decide to hire Rehhagel. I would have liked Gio Trappatoni but he signed with Benfica.
Otto isn't going anywhere, he already signed on through WC 2006, where he will lead Greece into victory and pimp-slap Franz Beckenbauer.
