Fred Rogers, who gently invited millions of children to be his neighbor as host of the public television show "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" for more than 30 years, died of cancer early Thursday. He was 74. How suck. First Jam Master J and now this?
I agh agh thought that agh agh you were going to agh agh tell us that agh agh the world agh agh was now poorer agh agh for the agh agh loss agh of Doris from Rego agh agh Park.
I thought I was the only one who noticed this, because they never talk about it. She annoys the hell out of me. I feel bad hating a geriatric, but everytime she calls I turn off the radio. And she is on at the oddest times. 7am Saturday morning, 2 am Tuesday...everytime I'm stuck somewhere I'll throw on the Fan and there she is, complaining about the Mets and why Gil Hodges isn't in the hall of fame. Sports Illustrated did a great piece on Miriam from Queens who is a blind Islander fan (which makes sense if you've seen them play) and is a great caller. The Islanders brought her to a game (she'd never been), took her in a limo, gave her a jersey, let her down on the ice, gave her an award, it was great. The Rangers liked the idea so much they are selling the same package for $ 2500 per person. Anyway, Doris is the devil. At least Jerome is funny. She <ack ack> is just <ack ack> annoying.
I met him when he was shooting a show at Penn State (on the Creamery, the best ice cream in the world IMHO), Very nice man, he will be missed
Gerald "Jay" Fassbinder was the Head Product Chef (a.k.a., Jam Master) at Welch's for over 40 years (he was also 8-time president of the Oswego Moose Lodge). He was known to all his friends and lodge brothers as Jam Master Jay. He will be missed, of course, but he's been dead for a few years now. I'm surprised to see him mentioned here. C in SJ
He was the best neighbor anyone could have ever asked for...."would you be mine, could you be mine, won't you be - my neighbor"
