Friday Games: NORTH Essen vs Osnabrück 1-3 Big win for Enochs and his club in the top game. 23.500 in the sold out RWE Stadium saw a relatively early lead for their team, but Osnabrück replied short before the break, and later on scored the eventual game winner in the middle of the second half. Enochs played full 90 in a win that guarantees his club at least five points distance to a spot outside the promotion zone with three games left. SOUTH Elversberg vs Frankfurt Res. 4-1 Another big win for the YA. Payne and Lawson played full 90, Mason DNP according to Frankfurt's homepage. Elversberg today is three points ahead of Siegen and Darmstadt, who both have two games more to play. With this win Elversberg sent their opponents down to D4; also Bayern's reserves did them a favor by defeating another relegation candidate today. Lots of trembling is expected for Elversberg though. Offenbach vs Neunkirchen 1-0 Third but last D3 game for Neunkirchen, almost their fourth road point. A late and discussion worthy pk (Offenbach's HP) cared for the decision that gives the hosts some air for breathing in the relegation fight. Could not find out if Shoffner played.
NORTH Verl vs Leverkusen Res. 4-3 The last game of this matchday and a must win game for both teams. Verl was the luckier and has chances to avoid relegation with 2 pts down to Hamburg Res. (two others 5 pts, one team 6 pts away; three games to go). Don't know about Maurer yet. SOUTH Wehen vs Erfurt 0-0 Makes Wehen stay five points away from relegation. Don't know about Matarazzo so far. Unterhaching vs Siegen 2-2 Luck for Siegen that Unterhaching clinched promotion yesterday before playing this game. Some party and a late goal made Siegen the fourth team to collect a point in Bavaria. Siegen desperately needed this point as otherwise they had dropped to a relegation spot. Consequently they are one point away from that. Lukin went full 90, van Buskirk is injured and Norkus played the last 21 minutes.
The missing facts: Maurer went full 90 as central defender. Matarazzo went full 90 as central mid. Shoffner went full 90 as forward. Van Buskirk is out for the rest of the season with injury (Kapselanriss im Fußgelenk = not fully torn capsula in the foot joint or something like this).
