SHOULD be an easy win, but I think very few games in Serie A are easy - only in hindsight. The Chievo win was 3-0 but not nearly as simple as it sounds.

Juve's lineup as predicted by RAI - Buffon; Birindelli, Cannavaro, Thuram, Zambrotta; Camoranesi, Blasi, Emerson, Nedved; Del Piero Ibrahimovic.

No "turnover" there. I think Capello looks at these games with relegation fodder as an essential 3 points, whether it's home or away.

Why doesnt Capello change up the linup

Its not like it is a huge game against Reggina today so why doesnt Cappelo change up helineup, guys like ibra and cannavaro and emerson are tired. For todays lineup mine would be:

    ..............Buffon........................
    Birindelli....Ferrara.......Legrotaglie.......Pessotto.....
    ..........Blasi...........Tachinardi....................
    Camoranesi...............................Nedved...........
    ........Zalayeta.............Del Piero...............

Re: Why doesnt Capello change up the linup

As somebody pointed out in another thread, Capello has a habit of trying to build as big a lead as possible early in the championship. Reggina looks like they will be going down almost for sure, so 3 points against them is a MUST. Meanwhile, maybe Roma can hold Milan to a point or something. Come out, break Reggina's will early on, then make your subs.

1-1 after 17 minutes...Colucci scored for Reggina and a goal by Imbrahimovic for Juve.

2-1 now i think we could really use Del Piero right now. This pitch is just horrible i have never seen worse conditions.

    It's over , Juventus loses 2-1.

Most dramatic game and Reggina took a well deserved win.

Juventus's first loss, hope to see more of it

If It was AC Milan Playing.

They would of won 3-2. I cant believe the REF disallowed that goal in stoppage time.

NEO DA ONE, that goal was obviously a handball, you could tell easily just by watching the replay, and Zlatan's goal in second half was also after he fouled 2 players in a row.

The 1st time you look at the Replay you can maybe say it was a hand ball... But after the 2nd Look you can see that it touched the top of his chest close to his shoulder blade. The Ref should of let it stand. If it wasnt for the Reggina players reaction.. Nothing would of been called. AC Milan got away with a lot more stuff last year. Even the commentators said that was legal.

BTW, Im a neutral so im not bothered by the decision. This result could "liven up" the Seire A this year.

If the handball was not called then the offsides on Zlatan should have been. How about his attempted headbutt in the second half? I've only seen three Juve matches this season and IMHO he appears to be kind of a dirty player. Again, I haven't seen enough Juve matches to be sure.

yea but what about when the reggina player did a handball inhis own box, that was bull ******** and no call im so dissapointed in juve. I knew we should have started del piero from the beggining. But hey we have had a long couple of weeks and now we have a well deserved break. Lets hope the whole team can recuperate with a win.

Not exactly the best game by Juventus. They could have played much better. If they lost to Reggina that is not a good sign. But Juventus is still a good team andI believe that this match does not reflect the team in any way. They will still play more games and prove who they really are.

Then you should also mention Reggina's handball in the area and the player who elbowed Nedved towards the end of the match.

I thought Kapo did not have a handball on the second viewing. I didn't pay attention to Ibra whether he was offside.

I sure hope that this first loss does not prompt a dip in form like what Arsenal have suffered since that unexpected reverse at Old Trafford two weeks ago.

Sorry I didn't credit you properly. Rep given retroactively for the fact that I used your earlier post!

I still think this (attempting to break Reggina's will early) is what Juve tried to do, but it just didn't happen. Reggina played like a desperate team battling relegation toward the end of the season. I don't think Juventus was expecting that this early in the season. A few bad breaks for Juve, sure, but this is why they go ahead and play the games. As I'm also a Reggina fan, I can't say I'm unhappy. I just hope this doesn't burst Juve's bubble. Need to beat Fiorentina on Wednesday.

Re: Why doesnt Capello change up the linup

Well getting to watch the highlights it was obvious that Juve were screwed out of a legitimate penalty, a blatant handball in the box. Kapo's goal was called back because of him supposedly being offsides, he did not handle the ball. Olivera looks like he might have given it a touch with his head and when he did he put Kapo in an offsides position. All the replays showed that Kapo did NOT handle the ball and the offsides call was dubious at best.

Reggina was lucky, they had the ref on their side yesterday. That game should have been at least a draw (had Juve converted the penalty). I was just surprised that the Italian media backed Juve on this one, jusually they've got no problem slamming Juve.
