so its the same shit, he's doing to do his bit to help Trump because Kamala wasn't tough enough on Bibi. These people are not Democrats, and they utterly failed us, and they cannot and should not ever be trusted again.
Jesus Christ, it does not. It does not affect me as I live in Michigan. It does not affect people who live in Chicago, it does not affect people who live in DC, nor does it affect people who live in California. It's a local election. That some are willing to bust out the kneepads for what is essentially a small potatoes astounds me. Know what elections I'm concerned about? Detroit mayoral and my town's elections. Why? Because Detroit mayoral is the first one without Duggan, who has been the best mayor for Detroit in my lifetime. I'm concerned that the front runner (Mary Sheffield) is too activist minded and is going to set progress back. My town? There's a bunch of vocal crazies who hate that the city I live in is changing. Know what's not on people's minds? A mayoral candidate in a city over 500 miles away. Lol the youth vote?! Are you serious?! Didn't you vote for Nader?
IDGAF about a mayoral candidate who is an unreliable, untrustworthy shitbag traitor who stabbed us all in the back when it most mattered and helped Trump get elected.
And your thinking is part of the reason Democrats lose. The past doesn't really matter. The only thing that should matter to Democrats as a whole is whose election will do the most to fulfill the Democrats objectives at the local, state and national level. In this case it would be Mamdani. And if you think this is ideological, I'm critical of those who pilled on Manchin when it was a miracle that he was able to represen WV for so long.
It's not hard to understand, if you claim to be a Democrat, you should be supporting the Democratic candidate for president, especially in an election as consequential as that last one. Every single Democrat who wasn't working to get Kamala elected was making it a little easier for Trump to win a second term. This is especially true for Democrats in (or seeking) public office as they are more influential, and their supporters look to them for leadership and cues on how best to use their votes.
Right now, I want the traitors weeded out. please. If people didn't understand why it was important to support Harris, they're idiots and need to go.
It seems like most of the candidates who've been vulnerable to the "traitors" were horrible candidates who should've been abandoned. I suppose what I'm saying is that the center-right core of the Dems I consider to be traitors. I'm not above holding my nose in a general election, but I'm happy to have every one of that faction primaried out, and I'm happy to have the fascist faction of the Reeps carried out of office.
I know you being a Spurs fan, the concept of winning and long term thinking is an unusual concept, but votes like that are what set us back. You have any idea how much work is gonna have to be done when Dems take control? I had concerns with Harris, same with Hillary, same with Biden but I went and voted for them. I knew the stakes. If Liz Cheney is willing to vote for Harris, then some idiot lefty can too. If an ex-Republican like Kinzinger is willing to speak at the DNC and say vote for Harris, then idiot lefties can vote for Harris. If former members of Reagan's staff can vote for Harris (Which they did), lefties can too. Instead, people have to be self righteous and noble. Over causes that are insignificant to most Americans.
Mamdani is running for mayor of a major city. Which has no say in anything serious. Frustration with Manchin was the fact that he had power and he knew it. And tended to be annoyingly stubborn on certain things.
Everyone in New York, Cleveland, and Milwaukee became quite familiar with the name earlier this year.
We disagree on Kamala, I think she was a fine candidate. Same with Hillary. Either would've been infinitely better than what we're dealing with now.
The point isn't so much about them personally as it is the process of nominating them. Both were elections that should have been easily winnable, and we have the party leadership to blame.
