But I thought MAGA hated cancel culture.

The interesting part? This started because Nexstar affiliates weren't going to air tonight's show.

You might remember Nexstar as being in a proposed merger with Tegna.

In other words, "Company cancels late-night show/episode over Trumplethinskin's fee-fees getting hurt."

A self righteous person who does not have any friends on either side of the aisle and would sooner cut her nose off over some issue than help Dems.

My issue with Tlaib is she has constantly made it a point to hurt Dems when the stakes were high. She made it a point to not endorse Biden in 2020. She had that whole bullshit Gaza stuff in 2024 and refused to endorse Harris. She constantly picks fights that don't need to be picked, she has voted against Dem stuff when Dems had the House, she booed Hillary Clinton, she is, at the end of the day, a cross to bear. And as long as she has a seat, she will be detrimental to Dems. Whether it's over her grievances, the fact that she has never shown that she can think long term or even short term. She is a problem.

If I, a white dude who lives in one of the wealthiest counties in the US can easily vote for Harris, Biden, and Clinton (Who she booed back in 2020), she can too. But given that she was educated at Thomas Cooley Law School, the same place that gave us Michael Cohen, I don't think she's capable of walking and chewing gum at the same time. And she'd somehow blame Israel for it. Or Dems.

She's the worst part of the Bernie wing and they need to be thrown out. They should have been thrown out back in 2016 after his antics with Hillary.

I hope Trump at least sent her a thank you note.

This kind of stuff boils my blood, elected officials who claimed to be Democrats but then stabbed us all in the back and essentially made it that much easier for Trump to win a second term.

She's a Palestinian American too, worse than useless here and to Palestinians.

I don't know enough about Tlaib to really address most of that - I remember the sideshow of the mentioned bits, but that's about it. As far as Trump sending a thank you note, he could do the same with the DNC, Hillary, Joe, and Kamala. Ultimately, that's the circle who ********ed up so badly that it paved a way for him. They should be booed far more than they have been, and the fastest way back for the Party, America, and pretty much anyone else is gonna be booing them incessantly. It's the only way for the Left to sound like it actually has a plan or something better to offer. ******** it, let's allow living presidents to run for a third term. I'd love to see Obama run again. It's probably going to be another few years before we get a James Talarico campaign, and he's about the only one in the party who I think could win or make a difference.

That's @Kazuma's home area, I trust his take on his local politics and politicians. As for Hillary, Joe and Kamala, I disagree. Hillary was very well qualified, First Lady, US Senator, Sec of State...she ran a good campaign, stood up to the mountain of BS that was thrown at her, and then Comey tipped the balance with his election eve announcement. But the left was somewhat split over the Bernie fiasco and the support for her was not as robust and united as it should've been, from our side.

I always admired Biden, but he waited too long to step aside, his biggest blunder was not doing enough to secure the southern border. Harris ran a good campaign, she was also very well qualified, but again, the left couldn't unite around her in the way we did for Obama. This was partly due to people like Tlaib, and a whole bunch of people on the left who just couldn't get behind her, enthusiastically.

The left is way too fragmented, too many single-issue voters, too much kookiness on the left that the right can use against us...it's still that way.

The left in this country is a mess.

But here's the thing, there's always a sideshow. The sideshow matters more to the other side as a rule. Whether it's Tlaib, Fetterman, MGT, or whoever. Scapegoating the sideshow to maintain the central power of the DNC just comes off as chickenshit. Anyhow, the elections weren't anything to do with qualifications. Hillary lost the moment there was a tacit decree that she was the next nominee after losing the nomination to Obama. Kamala lost the moment Joe decided to not step down after one term like he said he would. Not only did it ******** up the election, it prevented a year of publicity and the exchange of ideas that would have occurred during it. More than that, the party did not stand up to Biden in any meaningful way when it was quite clear that he had no business running anything for a couple years prior. We've all been told for two generations how the dems needed to play well together. It's bullshit.

I live near Tlaib's district and know some people who have worked for her. Let's just say one of them has gone full MAGA (Endorsed RFK Jr) but if you know this person like I do it's not a surprise. The other I lost touch with but was not happy that Biden beat Bernie in 2020. Like full on tantrum on social media. It was something.

As for Dems, my only criticism of Hillary was there was too much negative baggage surrounding her, otherwise she was a great candidate on paper. Doesn't help that Comey wanted to be a main character. Doesn't help that Bernie didn't step aside when it was obvious he couldn't win the nomination. Biden and Harris, they did the best they could. Although I wish Harris didn't hire Obama people. Not their fault Republicans couldn't quit Trump. Not their fault that voters couldn't live below their means yet whined about inflation (While driving a Chevy Tahoe in a city outside Detroit). Not their fault a bunch of people (Including people like George Clooney, the overrated actor that he is) overlooked Trump's cognitive abilities while freaking out about Biden's. Same for the Bernie fans who want Bernie run despite being just as old. Same for the journalists who haven't been able to do their jobs. Not their fault Arab-Americans couldn't get over their dislike of women and gays, not their fault the pro-Palestine movement didn't want to compromise.

For me its a party that can't hang together when it matters. Some people I know were lukewarm about Harris...people who hated Trump. It was almost as though our folks didn't understand that it was either our imperfect candidate...or Trump. Too many people didn't seem to understand the urgency of the situation, or they didn't care. The war in Gaza came at a poor time, we bled all kinds of votes from people who have been reliably Democrat, historically...when the alternative was Trump!!

Republicans know their guy is flawed but they care about things like the Supreme Court and taxes and they're able to unite around him because they understand this is a two-party system and for them, one candidate was infinitely better than the other.

That reality was lost on far too many "Democrats" in this country.

Let's do a quick show of hands:

Who remembers when Joe Biden had a huge conniption fit when Fox, OAN and whoever else showed him falling up the stairs of the plane?

Who remembers when Joe had an equally big fit when right-wing media showed him falling off that bike?

THE VERY UNFUNNY LOSER GREG GUTFIED SHOWED ME FALLING OFF MY BIKE. I IMPLORE THE TERRIBLE AND FAKE FOX "NEWS" TO IMMEDIATELY CANCEL THAT SAD PATHETIC LOSER'S POOR EXCUSE FOR A SHOW! WHAT AN IMBECILE! -- JRB.

Sidenote: Seth Meyers also showed both of those clips a lot.

Oh, that's right. Joe didn't have a temper tantrum rivaling that of a toddler.

The DNC doesn't have any say in who gets what. It's conspiratorial nonsense.

As for the people mentioned, Tlaib is a loose cannon. Fetterman, especially for his health needs to step down among other things. But he isn't going to switch parties despite what some think. Nor was he pulling the "I'm not endorsing Harris" antics like Tlaib was doing.

*: In a twisted sense of irony, Fetterman has a lower score on Heritage Foundation's scorecard than Tlaib. Fetterman is at 7%, Tlaib, 14%. Funny enough, Elissa Slotkin, who I know progressives despise, has a score of 2%.

When did Biden actually say that, though?

Thing is the whole thing was an anonymous sourced article and people decided to run with it. Including journalists who can't be bothered to do some simple digging. Including one Astead Herndon, who of course is a Spurs fan, which means clueless.

I thought he actually said something offensive about Kirk. Turns out he offended Trump and MAGA politicians by showing them doing exactly what he described.

Guys, Antifa is now a terrorist organization.

Turn in your ID badges at your local chapter hall and collect your severance package.

    https://www.cnn.com/2025/09/17/politics/antifa-terrorist-designation-trump

If this is one of his temper tantrums, it'll be funny. If someone with competence gets a hold of it, anyone against the regime can be antifa because there is no antifa.

The role of left-wing candidates standing for elections, (apart from the obvious... trying to win), is to try and push the right-wing one towards a position that they think is more likely to be successful.

In that respect, he was probably right.

The amount of Democrats that are making a point in their primary campaigns to announce that they are not taking AIPAC money might indicate that your opinion on where the party is on Israel is a bit expired.

Also the UN and Bernie have called it a Genocide. When will you?
