Did he ever return? No he never returned And his fate is still unlearn'd He may ride forever 'neath the streets of Boston He's the man who never returned.
Tourism is beyond ********ed in America. Brand USA (your national tourism marketing agency) also just had their budget slashed from 100m to 20m annually. Trump's hoteliers won't like that.
At a rally last night for Kirk, Neo-Nazi chants broke out saying "white man, fight back!". https://www.reddit.com/r/TikTokCringe/s/piKJwNAJeF
So this is what I don't get. The orange-skinned toddler, Adolf Shitler is whinging that "The Left" is comparing Kirk to Nazis. And Stephen Miller's beard, um, wife said basically the same thing. I would have thought that they would have considered being compared to Nazis a compliment
At least with the upcoming World Cup, there'll be plenty of good beer for the tourists...unlike in Qatar.
Bell's Palsy can affect either side of the face (rarely even both!). The key to telling the difference (for one side) is whether or not the forehead is affected. https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/5457-bells-palsy https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/bells-palsy/symptoms-causes/syc-20370028
I think that's step 1 in Brummie's "How to topple an authoritarian regime" thread. Don't think it could happen though unless the 30% of liberal voters can organize a spending boycott and only spend on the essentials (food, fuel, shelter) until 2028.
It's going to happen because they are bad at managing the economy. And because a number of long-term problems are coming to a head soon. And Trump can't do anything to solve those looming problems because read the first sentence again.
We know the likely solution. Every Whitelandian newborn gets an account with 100,000 Trump crypto bucks in it.
The idea that this sort of political targeting will be restricted to tourists in the long run is wishful thinking, IMO.
National Guard deployment update. First Washington, DC Then Chicago. Next up, Memphis. https://www.politico.com/news/2025/...eployment-finds-an-ally-in-tennessee-00561987 In naming Memphis the next destination for National Guard deployment, President Donald Trump has opened a new front in his crusade against cities — one that relies on cooperation from Republican governors. Earlier I heard that the Memphis Mayor was agreeing with deployment. This doesn't sound like he is: But even with the state’s Republicans on board, the deployment sets up a clash with local Democratic leaders. Memphis Mayor Paul Young said at a press conference on Friday that he did not request the National Guard, and he doesn’t believe it’s an effective way of driving down crime: “However that decision has been made — my commitment is to make sure strategically that we make sure this happens in a way that truly benefits and strengthens our city.” Why Memphis? Should be obvious, but this lays it out: Other Tennessee Democrats point to Trump’s military takeover of Memphis as an extension of his policies to stoke racial divisions and to make an example of the perceived ineptitude of cities that have a high number of Black elected officials. “If he was interested in responding to his base, he would be in Utah,” state Rep. Justin Pearson said. “Immediately after Charlie Kirk is killed there’s a National Guard deployment to one of the Blackest cities in the United States of America?” Pearson argued sending National Guard troops exposes the incompetence of Republicans who control all levels of power across the state.
It was the big reveal this morning. He had a convo with the CEO of Union Pacific "Sir, I needed an armored car to get to my hotel in Memphis" Saw it on Faux this morning. The whole interview was g-damn nuts. Makes these big decisions based on random conversations & anecdotes In his Fox News appearance, Trump said Union Pacific’s CEO — whom he did not name — had told him recently that crime in Memphis was so bad that the executive needed an “armored vehicle with bullet proof glass” just to go a block down the road. “He said, ‘Sir, ... when I walk one block to my hotel, they won’t allow me to do it, they put me in an armored vehicle with bullet-proof glass to take me one block,’” Trump recounted. “He said it is so terrible.” https://www.politico.com/news/2025/09/12/trump-memphis-union-pacific-00560868
Trump should keep doing this. It's going to make him unpopular in the National Guard. He's taking people from their homes, from their jobs, and it is painfully obvious to all of them that it's all for show. There's already been a bunch of newspaper articles about how morale is down. Nothing teaches you that Trump uses the common people more then being a common person Trump is using.
