Trump knows who suffered the most due to the Civil Rights movement: https://bsky.app/profile/thetnholler.bsky.social/post/3mcaohlze3k2t
Remember when the Democrat administration gave gobs and gobs of money to red states to help them with disaster recovery? Here's something you all (probably) missed: The Trump administration wanted to shut down funding for energy projects in blue states. Well, a federal judge ruled such was unconstitutional.
I made a comment recently that this feels like a manic depressive in a manic phase, but I was 95% joking. I’m down to 80%. And 100% seriously, can dementia look like manic depression?
https://www.ms.now/news/doj-civil-rights-division-officials-quit-harmeet-dhillon DOJ is refusing to investigate the murderer Jonathan Ross. It was the final straw leading to the resignations of 4 leaders within the civil rights division.
Where does @ElNaranja go for his apology. Should have fired up the NG and never let them leave the state!
I finally figured out who he reminded me of. It was Kai from Dogtown. They don't really look alike, but that's who. Sorry, Trevor. I know yean kill nobody
I’ve still had no answer as to why i should care about this anymore if those with political power won’t oppose it.
Me and @Belgian guy argued at the time that the Bill Ackman campus thing was part reactionary moral panic for ulterior motive while genuine neonazis were building political power. Now we have the American "unified reich" with blatant antisemitic rhetoric - Bibi's reaction was to give Trump a special prize. It disturbs me that jewish people now have to endure this level of day to day hate and harassment, but why should the political left expend capital on it, when the Jews with political influence in this moment like Ackman and Israel's government actively support this over liberal interest? If they don't care, why should the political left care? I wait for anyone to explain this to me. That said, I'll stand with the brave people like Mayor Fry, who are opposing fascism - every day of the week.
It's not subtle people! Remind me of the time elected democrats or the Biden admin did anything remotely in the ball park of this stuff?
They were using full-on Nazi tropes in the election as well - calling people "vermin", "enemies of the people", and "poisoning the blood of Americans" for examples.
I think Nichols' analysis is also naive. There might be a level of trolling involved, but at the same time they also mean all of this shit. His interpretation allows for the notion that these people aren't quite that odious, just irresponsible idiots addicted to online trolling. I think it's far more accurate that the Nazi allusions are truly held beliefs. I am sure they get tickled by triggering the libz, but it's not their only motivation.
Remember only 5 seconds ago Orbanist Rod Dreher 'warned' Vance that half the zoomercon staffers in DC are nazi adjacent. The Shapiro fiasco happened over the holiday season, where Shapiro lost the argument that the jew haters should be kicked out of the movement. We are way past the point of some bad apples and trolls.
There are so many examples to choose from. To be fair the NYT had an article last year documenting the 200+ times the Trump campaign sent out anti-semitic and/or nazi propaganda People here defended the Soros stuff. So what's really the point when righties get mad about antisemitism now? They've turned it into a word with no meaning.
First, I can’t imagine any scenario where Trump even tries to run again. Not because he’s so clearly not allowed to, but due to his drastic decline mentally and physically. I mean, what are the odds he’ll even be alive in ‘28? But if such a thing was attempted, I’d assume the legal challenges would come from blue states who refuse to allow a not-eligible individual to appear on the ballot. I also assume there’s precedent for this; instances from the past when they exercised the legal right to declare someone not eligible to run for an office. Look, I’m no lawyer, but I get the sense that these ‘can Trump run for a 3rd term’ debates are the kind of thing that actual lawyers roll their eyes at. The answer is no. And the reason is obvious and clear: the 22nd amendment says so. And, no, as shitty a body as SCOTUS has become, it does not always give Trump what he wants and wouldn’t in such a black-and-white instance.
I saw something about St George Utah expecting some Biden era road project to be done but there was some DEI language so TrumpCo canceled it. Guess who most folks there voted for in 2024? Found it: https://www.sltrib.com/news/2025/08/27/st-george-loses-876-million/
Pretty sure this got hashed out during last election when some states wanted to keep an insurrectionist off the ballot but that didn't go anywhere.
