Vance, of course, is smart enough to know that this is utter nonsense.

I used them ONCE to get some mailing tubes for a small collection of posters I was auctioning off.

That was several years ago--6 or 7, maybe. I still get that big, fat, glossy catalog mailed to me on a regular basis.

The organization I work for stopped using them sometime during Trump's first term because of this.

Depends on time frame. If we are looking at y/y then yeah, they are up. But if we look at m/m I think they are down. Maybe even 2 months. Of course, the data I saw was posted maybe 2 weeks ago, so I might be misremembering.

Vance is different from Trump. Trump has a lot of that George Costanza line in him: Jerry, it’s not a lie, if you believe it.

Vance knows. There’s something very mechanical, something robotic, in the way he lies all the time.

There's a few markets, mostly in the southeast, that overbuilt by quite a bit. But they have a similar problem to commercial property all over America - the debt is securitized. That means they have limited leeway in how they price it. So in places you will see "first two months free" to kind of lower the rent without lowering the rent.

  8. I don't understand what you're trying to say in this post.

  9. The DAFT route is being promoted by a lot of business and law advisors.

One hot item is that it's claimed to be almost imposible and also very expensive to get visa for English speaking destinations like the UK/Ireland/Australia/New Zealand.
The mantra is that's cheap to relocate to the Netherlands.
    I don't get it.
Why would it be more difficult to get into one of those countries, compared to the Netherlands?

Suzy Wiles in her own words:
    Trump- Alcoholic personality
    Vance: " a conspiracy theorist"
Musk: "Odd, odd duck" "avid ketamine user"

She must really want to be fired.

    - Wiles said she has read the Epstein documents and acknowledged that Trump’s name is in them.
    - Wiles said she urged Trump NOT to pardon the most violent January 6 rioters. He ignored her advice.
    - She admitted Trump is looking for retribution...“when there’s an opportunity, he will go for it."
    - Wiles directly contradicted Trump’s claims about Bill Clinton, stating there is “no evidence” Clinton ever visited Jeffrey Epstein’s private island
    - She called budget director Russell T. Vought a “right-wing absolute zealot.”- Wiles defended USAID, saying that “anyone who has paid attention to government knows they do very good work.”

She said Attorney General Pam Bondi “completely whiffed” the handling of the Epstein files, explaining: “First she gave binders full of nothingness. Then she claimed the witness list or client list was on her desk.
There is no client list — and it sure as hell wasn’t on her desk.”- She said the administration needed to “look harder” at deportations to avoid mistakes.

Jonathan Chait: “In a normal presidency, the interviews that White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles gave to Vanity Fair would trigger her resignation, maybe even the president’s impeachment. She admitted that President Donald Trump employs prosecutorial power for ‘score settling,’ called Budget Director Russell Vought ‘a right-wing absolute zealot,’ described Vice President J. D. Vance as ‘a conspiracy theorist for a decade,’ and attributed Elon Musk’s erratic style in gutting federal agencies to his ‘avowed ketamine’ use.”

“Yet no one on the right is calling for anyone to resign, or even for a congressional investigation into these allegations. That is not because Wiles—who is credited with largely masterminding Trump’s victorious presidential campaign—lacks credibility, nor is it because she has denied these comments (she has accused the magazine of taking her words out of context, which is what people say when they know they were recorded).”

“It is simply because these quotes, while dire, are also unsurprising. Wiles did not say anything that Republicans didn’t already know. Her error lay in the breach between what Trump’s supporters understand and what they are permitted to say.”

If it becomes a norm that an administration can get away with rampant criminality so long as they constantly admit it, heaven help us.

The context of he Trump quote was along the lines of “my dad was an alcoholic. Alcoholics think they can do anything. Thats like Trump. He has an alcoholic mind”

that was a paraphrase off memory. It was nuanced but complimentary. Whether Trump has the mental acuity to understand that will likely determine if she ends up in my thread.

I don’t think anyone else she fired off at is gonna have the pull with Trump to make a difference to her.

Yeah, I really doubt landlords are now charging $1000/mo over the $1200 they were charging 2-3 years ago.

    James Donald Bowman sucks.
