Punching left doesn't mean punching Dems. It's punching loudmouths who think splashing paint on artwork to protest climate change is effective when it just pisses people off. It means telling DSA members to go away because they believe things like Biden is a war criminal (As one said to me at a Detroit City FC game once). It means punching the Gaza protestors because most people do not care about Gaza. It also means punching the sort of person who thinks things like "First person shooters are training people for war" like I saw someone post on their Instagram the other day.

Most people and voters do not like fringe be it right or left for a reason. Same reason why DeSantis is never going to become President and why someone like Rashida Tlaib isn't either.

 

Democrats should see these socialist types as an existential threat and respond accordingly.

Same with so called Democrats who wouldn’t support Harris when the chips were down and literally everything was on the line.

We have to get our own house in order. These socialists and single issue voters are doing little more than enabling the fascists.

It comes down to two choices, fight like hell for the Democrats or succumb to totalitarianism. There is no socialist third way, it’s a fairy tale.
