I consider that to be similar enough to my position, but with different wording.

If my vote doesn't end up being 60% of a White's, it won't be because they didn't give it the ol' Christian try

This is a parallel to the Andrew Tate view of women. A close parallel.

All those things are fine and, they're all things that Democrats typically fight for and get done for the people. DSA, Mamdani...the kooky socialist left in America, all they're good for is moving us away from democracy and closer to full-blown fascism. Mamdani bros are just recycled Bernie bros, the same bros who couldn't get behind HRC, and were mostly helpful to Trump and the ruling fascist party. Socialism is a political loser in this country all day long. Capitalism is going nowhere, despite all its shortcomings. There's not going to be some socialist utopia, not here, not anyplace...never has been. People point to social programs and social policies (as you're doing here again) and say hey! that's socialism and isn't it neato!? It's not. It spells disaster for this country. It will split our party again at a time when our only hope is Democratic Party Unity. The socialists are MAGA and P25's best friend.

How Popular Is Socialism? What Polls Show as Democrats Condemn It - Newsweek

"An NBC News poll found that only 18 percent of Americans view socialism positively, compared to 49 percent who view it negatively."

"Nearly half of House Democrats voted on Friday to condemn socialism, after New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani's victory this month became a landmark win for the political left. Still, polls show that most Americans oppose the ideology."

It's a political loser in this country, always has been, always will be.

2016 history continues to repeat itself. Loyalty and unity to party continue to elude the American left. I'm simply stating the obvious and reminding my fellow lefties that divided, it's over.

I assume they're just ignoring it. If cornered, they'll say they've not read the reporting on it and that it would be irresponsible to comment under those circumstances.

Off the record they'll say how much it disgusts them.

Was it really that hard to imagine that fanboy didn’t know what pardon and that Dave was trying to be helpful yet we get the obligatory snark and Mikey’s lame rep. It’s the season kids, how about if we try to tone down assholishness a bit?

I think they need a 2008 Barack Obama type individual in terms of charisma to have a chance.
Newsom isn't it, but then who is? I'd argue in terms of charm, Mamdani has a bit of that, but he is too left-wing and it's a moot point anyway since he is not eligible. But he is the first name that comes to mind in terms of an effortlessly charming Dem politician.

If you're counting on 2008 Obama, you're going to be disappointed. Obama was a singular political talent, if such a person existed today, we'd already know about him.

Right now, Newsom is the best and fastest horse running. Could an alternative emerge? Sure. But don't discount Newsom.

Yes, way too left wing and moot, despite charm offensive. Plus he’s not a Democrat and we only have two viable parties in this country.

The reason his base does not give a solitary ******** about Hernández getting a pardon is because of the truest thing Donald J. Trump ever uttered:

"I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters, OK?"

I will give him credit for this, he understand his voters inside and out.

I'm not saying such a person will emerge, but that it would probably take such a figure for the Democrats to have a realistic chance.

Did you read the list? And did you think about what is on that list? I put a couple things on there very specifically.

As for the rest of your post, you are not advancing your point.

Q: "Do you support the pardon of the former Honduran president?"

Sen. Eric Schmitt [R - MO]: "I'm not familiar with the facts and circumstances."

Q: "What do you mean you're not familiar with the facts and circumstances of the pardon? It's been reported all across the country. The former president of Honduras was convicted of bringing in 400 tons of cocaine into the United States, also guns and other materials. It's been front page news across the country. Aren't you curious about that?"

Schmitt: "I'm curious about your pushback on that particular point. With your previous guest, you had zero pushback because he's giving the Democrat talking points like you spew every week — which is probably why your ratings are so bad."

From ABC This Week. Taken from multiple Xwitter posts.

Did you read my response? You listed a bunch of stuff Democrats already support.

And my point is really quite simple, unite or get used to fascism.
