I’d rather them get away with murder if the alternative is still needing a trump pardon to avoid what is coming from a future Dem president. I do not want to live in a country where a significant portion of our special operations command….including its leader and its senior leadership….needs a pardon from trump…or trumps designated replacement…in order to avoid prosecution. Where we’re at now is the president can use the threat to withhold a pardon to force them to do his bidding. Refusing the next illegal order means prosecution and life in prison. which is why they won’t get one until the final moment…and only then if they do something for trump. I fear what that “something” will be. like I said….we’re ********ed.
Europe isn’t overreacting. They’ve been underreacting since the first trump administration. You’ll remember he refused to commit to article 5 in 2016…and we ********ing elected him anyway. Europe’s current rush towards defense independence should have started then…not nearly a decade later.
Best thing that has happened out of all of this. While Europe has indigenous weapons that capability wise with USA (F-35 excepted) NATO-Europe does not have magazine depth. So I hope that going into a future USA is treated as good that you are with us but we can manage without you
